Using Razelvarg in Clan Boss – Raid Shadow Legends

Spacer

With the Razelvarg Fusion well underway, we’ve decided to take a little look at his impact in Clan Boss, an area that originally he was considered to be too awkward to be used in, due to his speed slowly being buffed as the fight goes on, but never doubt the RAID community brains when it comes to finding a way to make things work!

Over the last week there have been some incredible teams being pulled together containing Razelvarg in Clan Boss, and boy, does he do some damage!

Razelvarg slots into teams as the Speed Booster to enable a 2:1 Ratio in many situations replacing Champions who bring a lot less damage potential than him, which subsequently adds an extra damage-dealing spot into your team.

Today we’re going to go through some of the available tunes that have been found so far for Ultra Nightmare – Of course, we’re sure there are other comps out there that are yet to be discovered, but these three are very fleshed out and working beautifully!

“Razzle Dazzle Unkillable”

Works for both UNM and NM.  When utilizing Razelvarg’s speed aura this is arguably the slowest 2:1 ratio teams in the game.

Team Composition:

With the right gearing, this team is more than capable of exceeding 1 key Ultra Nightmare easily.

“Razzle Dazzle Survival”

Works for both UNM and NM.  When utilizing Razelvarg’s speed aura this is arguably the slowest 2:1 ratio teams in the game.

This is a fully ‘killable’/traditional version of the above unkillable team!

Team Composition:

With the right gearing, this team is more than capable of exceeding 1 key Ultra Nightmare easily.

“RabBatEater”

Works for both UNM and NM.  When utilizing Razelvarg’s speed aura this is arguably the slowest 2:1 ratio teams in the game, and an exciting twist one of the oldest Unkillable teams in the game, BatEater, however instead of Pain Keeper, Razelvarg steps up, which grants your team an extra damage spot instead of Pain Keeper who brings very little damage.

This is a very exciting team that many players may pivot to!

Team Composition:

With the right gearing, this team is more than capable of exceeding 1 key Ultra Nightmare easily.

Are you going to try out any of these teams with your new Razelvarg? If so, who are you going to use? Let us know in the comments!

Like many people, my roster is limited. My plan is to use Raz, Toragi, Rearguard, Ronda and Valerie for the cleanse, as I think those are my best options on my roster. I just don’t have great cleansers with a 3 turn cd. I could sub Reliquary Tender for Valerie, but then I lose the small increased attack.

My gear is not the best, so will be interesting to see how I do. Will be at least a few days for me to get Raz and Rearguard leveled with masteries.

I figured out how to make the “RABBATEATER” using Deacon instead of Seeker (I still don’t have one) while also staying affinity friendly. Just fused the rabbit and got Michinaki in the “guaranteed” event not long ago, so I have everything I need…except for gear apparently. I can’t get all the champs to the correct speeds. That sucks…

**Update**
As it turns out, Valerie is not a good choice for the team. Whilst she does the cleanse, she also extends buffs. Extending Razelarg’s speed buff knocks you out of tune. So I tried with Reliquary Tender. I put her in a poison set. Overall, the damage was not there for even a 4 key. I tried a few different champs: Frozen Banshee, Aox and Venomage. Venomage ended up doing the most damage consistently with void, but I probably need to us Aox for some of the affinity matchups.

What’s important about Venomage is that she places a reliable decrease attack and decrease defense. Toragi and Rearguard are not reliable on their A1s. The passive 15% decrease damage is also nice, as it is the same as a smaller strengthen buff.

What’s good about Aox is that they can place their decrease attack on weak affinity, as the debuff is placed before the attack. So a weak hit is irrelevant. With Aox I will not have a reliable decreased defense, but that is just where my roster is today.

Tried my own bizarre, untuned crew on Brutal. Raz@245, Kyoku@216 and Sniktraak@200 for Ally Protect, Pythion@222 for cleanse/triage, Geo@220 for awesomeness. They reached Boss-turn 50 but the last fell at 31.38M damage, easy 1-key. Damage for Kyoku and Geo: 10M, Raz: 4.7M. At boss turn 31 Raz first fell, which enabled Strengthen from Pythion’s revival of him. At boss turn 45, Pythion’s stoneskin armor failed him and he finally fell, and that was the beginning of the end for the team. I’ll get Mithrala in 10 frags, but she won’t be able to revive Raz, so unknown what her effect would be.
