Live Arena Builds to Push Seasons
Live Arena Seasons are an intimidating new challenge for mid-endgame players with massive rewards if you put the work in. In this guide we break down seven key builds for seven key types of champion which will help you climb the ranks and snag those mythical Live Arena Relics!
Good luck in your final push week of season 1!
1. Sun Wukong
Sun Wukong is one of the best free login champions of all time and he thrives in Live Arena with his amazing 28% Speed Aura, his passive revive, and his ability to one shot the entire enemy team if he gets at turn.
How to Build
The best build for Wukong is 9 piece Merciless, though 6-piece Merciless is probably more achievable for most players. Lethal, Savage or Instinct are all good budget options if you have no good Merciless gear too.
Aim for 100% C. RATE, high ATK and C. DMG, 200 ACC and push high SPD.
Go with the Polymorph blessing for maximum annoyance, as he will likely be in the first position of your team.
The Cat’s Gaze is his best relic, though any damage increasing relic will do.
Similar Champions
You can build any ATK damage dealer in a similar way, though whereas Wukong’s passive will keep him in the fight without a 4-piece Stoneskin set, other damage dealers will struggle. Still, in a fast team this can be a great build for champions such as Thor Faehammer as well, or champions with passives like Wukong, such as Rotos the Lost Groom or Hegemon.
2. Lord Entertainer Fabian
Lord Entertainer Fabian is the most recent fusion in the game and is a powerhouse for arena. Read on to learn how to build him (and similar champions such as Armanz the Magnificent).
How to Build
There are 3 ideal ways to build Fabian:
- 4-piece or more Pinpoint and as much SPD and ACC as possible.
- 4-piece or more Supersonic and as much SPD and ACC as possible.
- 4-piece Stoneskin combined with either of the above.
No matter the build, you want to stack as much SPD and ACC on Fabian as possible: aim for him to be speed tuned to your Turn Meter booster so that he will be guaranteed to take a turn (e.g. have him be 25% slower than Arbiter).
Pinpoint has the advantage of protecting him from Polymorph on his A2; Supersonic has the advantage of letting you cut in against faster enemies; Stoneskin has the advantage of keeping you alive (particularly against Taras/Marichka).
His best relic is the Wand of Submission or the Temporal Stagnator, though the Molten Deathbell is a great budget option.
His best blessing is Temporal Chains (especially with the Supersonic build), though Intimidating Prescence is viable as well.
Similar Champions
Any champion with powerful control debuffs or effects can run the same build: Armanz the Magnificent, Yumeko, Warlord, and Lady Mikage are good examples.
3. Arbiter
Arbiter remains the queen of speed even in 2025: although there are better options for those lucky enough to pull them (such as Arbais the Stonehorn), for most player Arbiter will still be a key weapon in their Live Arena arsenal if built correctly.
How to Build
Simply put, you want Arbiter to be as fast as possible. No other stats or set effects really matter; you go first with her, or you lose.
Any relic that gives SPD is ideal, such as the Hallowed Hilt or Chrysalid of Rebirth. Wand of Submission is a good alternative. Journal of Necrotos is the budget option.
The best blessing is Intimdating Prescence, as it gives more SPD.
Similar Champions
Any champion with high base SPD, a Turn Meter boost and preferably a good SPD Aura can be built in this way: Shu-Zhen the Valorous, Hierophant Lazarius, Authoratrix Lamasu, and Eostrid Dreamsong are similar champions.
4. Freyja Fateweaver
Freyja Fateweaver was a previous guaranteed champion through a Deck of Fate and she brings incredible base stats alongside a death prevention passive and a ton of powerful buffs and Turn Meter boosts. This is the second type of fast support build that is crucial to know about.
How to Build
While Arbiter was all about SPD, with this build we will sacrifice some SPD to gain the benefits of the Protection set. With 6 pieces, you have a 50/50 to place protected buffs, and at 9 pieces this goes up to 75%. Aim for 6-piece Protection at least, then go for your fastest Banner and a 2-piece set that gives more SPD.
This is an essential build since protected Block Debuffs gives you a way to fight back against powerful CC champions such as Starsage Galathir or Fabian.
Aim for as much SPD as possible while building 6-piece Protection. After that, build high DEF, and possibly some C. RATE and C. DMG if you have amazing gear.
The best relic is the Wand of Submission, though the Hand of Uncreation can be ok too.
For blessings, you can go for Lightning Cage to protect even more buffs, for Polymorph at 6 star, or for Temporal Chains to slow down enemies.
Similar Champions
Any champion with high base speed, turn meter boosting and powerful buffs can be built this way. Siphi the Lost Bride is the best example.
5. Lady Noelle
Lady Noelle was the Christmas fusion for 2024 and she brings a powerfull type of build to Live Arena: the high RES reviver (with CC)!
How to Build
This build for Lady Noelle relies on 6-pieces of Stoneskin and high RES. The goal is to have a reviver who can survive against enemy Bombs (or almost anything else that can be thrown at them).
RES is extremely difficult to build, since you preferably want at least 100 more than the enemy has ACC (and mythicals ignore a big portion of your RES as well). Aim to build 100 more RES than your top ACC champion.
You can sacrifice HP and DEF and rely on 6-piece Stoneskin to keep you alive.
You should aim for higher SPD than your damage dealers, to cleanse them with your A2 if they don’t die.
ACC is very powerful too to land her Freeze; aim for ACC equal to your nuker RES.
Her best Blessings are Lightning Cage, Temporal Chains, or Intimidating Prescence.
Her best relics are Aspect of Siroth and Wand of Submission.
Similar Champions
Wight Queen Ankora was a fusion last year who can fulfil a similar role, though she relies less on ACC. Starsage Galathir is essentially a much stronger version of Lady Noelle in every respect.
6. Kawn Branchbreaker
Kawn Branchbreaker is the most recent guaranteed void legendary in Raid and he shines as a classic DEF-based nuker. These nukers have less explosive damage than ATK-based nukers but have a lot more survivability.
How to Build
The best build for Kawn is 4-piece Lethal and 4-piece Stoneskin. Stacking Reaction accessories could work as well, and other Ignore Defence sets can sub for Lethal.
Aim for 100% C. RATE, high DEF and C. DMG, and push decent SPD.
Lightning Cage is his best blessing, to try to preserve his buffs against buff removal.
The Cat’s Gaze is his best relic, though any damage increasing relic will do.
Similar Champions
Any DEF-based nuker who doesn’t need ACC can be built this way: Harima, Alaz the Sunbearer, etc.
7. Ultimate Deathknight
He’s not the OG Deathknight but he is the OG stalling arena tank. Thanks to his passive he can redirect all single-target attacks to himself and absorb them with Stoneskin, hard countering champions such as Rotos the Lost Groom.
How to Build
The best build for UDK is 6-pieces of Stoneskin and 3 pieces of Reaction. This will make him effectively unkillable.
Aim for very high RES (check out the Lady Noelle section for more info) and as much HP and DEF as possible. Avoid SPD as much as you can to prolong Reaction and Stoneskin.
Go with the Polymorph blessing for maximum annoyance or for Life Harvest to counter enemy revivers.
Aspect of Siroth can give him more protection against champions who ignore Stoneskin such as Georgid the Breaker.
Similar Champions
There are currently no other champions who would use this build. In theory, a Taunt champion can do a similar job but they will need high SPD to get their Taunt buff active on time.
