Let the ‘fun’ begin! It’s time for another fusion…? fragment…? Well, it’s a bit of both really.

As always, we’re going to have a very busy couple of weeks while we tackle all the events Plarium throw at us in a short space of time, as many of you may remember the Brogni fusion, was rather unforgiving – this fusion is the same format as that!

spacer

Faction: Banner Lords
Rarity: Legendary
Type: Defense
Affinity: Magic

A1 – Fairer Fight
Attacks 1 enemy. Removes any [Shield] buffs. Also has a 50% chance of removing one random
buff. Has a 75% chance instead when attacking Bosses.

A2 – Battlefield Beacon CD – 4 Turns
Attacks all enemies 2 times. Each hit has a 50% chance of placing a [Provoke] debuff for 1
turn, and a 75% chance of placing a 50% [Decrease ATK] debuff for 2 turns.

A3 – Shield of the Realm CD – 5 Turns
Places a [Shield] buff on all allies for 2 turns equal to 30% of this Champion’s MAX HP. Also
places a 25% [Strengthen] buff on all allies for 2 turns.

Passive – Equitable
Whenever this Champion is attacked, has a 20% chance of decreasing the duration of all buffs
on the attacker by 1 turn. Has a 40% chance instead when attacked by a Boss.

Sigmund the Highshield is a Traditional fusion in the sense that you will need to collect, level, and ascend 4 epics to be able to fuse him they are the following:

Duhr the Hungerer – Demonspawn – Spirit Affinity
Thylessia – Knights Revenant – Force Affinity
Scabrius – Skinwalkers – Magic Affinity
Demytha – Dwarves – Void Affinity

However, as mentioned above – this isn’t like a standard fusion, as the way to acquire the epics is done via Fragments! There will be no rare champions included in this fusion.

spacer

Is it worth going for Sigmund the Highshield?

That’s a very hard question to ask, and it’s one we get asked every single fusion. Usually, we take the stance of “If you can get the legendary, go for it!” as you never know what buffs/nerfs lurk around the corner.

However, in this case, while we already know how straining this type of fusion can be on our accounts we highly recommend that you evaluate each of the epics for your account – some of them are truly game-changing depending on where you are in the game.

spacer

What resources will be needed for the fusion:

Aside from the resources, you’ll need to complete the events to earn the champions for this fusion, remember you will need to level each of the epics to level 50/5* and fully ascend them, to do that it will require the following resources:

Arcane Potions:

60 Greater + 12 Superior Arcane Potions

Affinity Potions:

20 Greater (PER AFFINITY) + 6 Superior (PER AFFINITY)

Chickens/Food:

16x 4* Chickens

October 12th:
Dungeon Divers Event 3 – 15x Scabrius / 15x Demytha

October 13th:
Artifact Enhancement Event 3 – x20 Thylessia

Unfortunately, this does mean both Thylessia and Demytha are gated behind both summon events.

spacer

Day 1:

New Events:

Dungeon Divers Event – 20x Scabrius / 20x Duhr the Hungerer / 20x Demytha Fragments – 1300/2250/3400 Points
Spider Tournament – 20x Duhr the Hungerer  – 1800 points

These two events line up very nicely together, you’ll be able to double-dip by farming Spider and get rewards for both events.

To reach 1800 points in Spider, you’re looking at a maximum of 113 runs of level 20-25 Spider. Of course, this is based on the lowest reward of 5* Rare gear, and will vary depending on your luck!

spacer

Day 2:

New Events:
Champion Chase Tournament – 1150/2500 points – 20x Thylessia 25x Demytha
Classic Arena Takedown – 330 points – 15x Thylessia

As always with an arena tournament, make sure to use all of your daily battles, this event is active for 3 days which should be more than enough time to get you the required points if you are efficient in using your tokens, ensuring you’re picking fights you know you can win!

The first roadblock of this fusion comes just 2 days in, you will NEED to get the 2500 points for this Champion Chase if you intend on doing the fusion, as you need the fragments for Demytha.

spacer

Day 3:

New Events:
Artifact Enhancement Event – 20x Duhr the Hungerer – 2625 points

To get this events Fragments, you’ll require 2625 points in the artifact enhancement event – there are some great methods for doing this easily, to save as much silver as possible.

Artifact Enhancement

1. If you pre-rolled your gear to level 7/11/15 before the event, you can go ahead and burn through your silver taking these up by 1 level each to gain quick easy points.

2. The other really good option for these events, is doing a good old gear clear-out, roll things that you might want to keep up to see how the stats play out, sell things that you won’t want to keep, a great guide for this is here.

spacer

Day 4

New Events:
Dragon Tournament – 20x Scabrius – 2250 points
Champion Training Tournament – 20x Duhr the Hungerer 25x Scabrius – 3050/5150 points

For today’s events, you’re going to want to split your energy between Dragon and Training, you may opt to blast one of these in 1 day to get it over and done with.

If you’re fortunate enough to have a champion who can solo dragon alongside food, you can double dip points here while doing them together.

To get 2,250 points in dragon you’ll be looking at around 140 runs of Dragon 20+ assuming the worst possible drops of 5* rare gear.

5,150 points in Training is fairly achievable for everyone, you may choose to use this time to level up your food ready for fusing your epics, or rank up some of the champions you’ve been waiting to play with for a while!

spacer

Day 7:

New Events:
Dungeon Divers Event 2 – 25x Duhr the Hungerer / 20x Thylessia – 1550/3050 points

As with all Dungeon divers, this one is no different, it’s time to grind away and double-dip by completing events that are simultaneously active, for instance, if you are still missing Champion Training Tournament points, running campaign can really add up to your Dungeon Divers points.

However, starting tomorrow we will have the Fire Knight Tournament – so remember you will be getting points from that, so don’t go too crazy today hunting Dungeon Diver points!

spacer

Day 8:

New Events:
Artifact Enhancement Event – 20x Scabrius – 2625 points
Fire Knight Tournament – 15x Demytha – 1800 points

To get Demytha’s Fragments from Fire Knight, it will take roughly 113 runs of level 20+ based on the worst possible drops, this syncs up with yesterdays Dungeon Divers event nicely, so make sure you take advantage and double-dip here!

2. The other really good option for these events, is doing a good old gear clear-out, roll things that you might want to keep up to see how the stats play out, sell things that you won’t want to keep, a great guide for this is here.

spacer

Day 9:

New Events:
Summon Rush – 25x Thylessia / 25x Demytha – 1400/3000 points

For today’s summon rush, there is a great x10 summons event! You will have to pop your shards to get these fragments, 3000 points is the equivalent of 6 sacred shards, but don’t forget – mystery shards also count towards these points so don’t be afraid to burn through them!!

spacer

Day 10:

New Events:
Classic Arena Takedown – 330 points – 15x Duhr the Hungerer

As always with an arena tournament, make sure to use all of your daily battles, this event is active for 3 days which should be more than enough time to get you the required points if you are efficient in using your tokens, ensuring you’re picking fights you know you can win!

Bare in mind, as much as the arena tournament is quite a passive one, if you’ve completed every event up till now – you won’t actually need the Duhr Fragments, but it’s still rewards for doing something you’d be doing on a daily basis regardless.

spacer

Day 11:

New Events:
Ice Golem Tournament –  20x Thylessia – 1800 points

To complete this event, to get your fragments you will need to earn 1800 points, which is a maximum of 113 runs of Ice Golem 20+ based on the worst possible rewards (5* rare) – Plarium have activated the Super Raids feature for this event, so your number of runs won’t feel quite as daunting if you enable it as it will take you half the time!

spacer

Day 12:

New Events:
Champion Training Event – 20x Scabrius / 20x Demytha – 2500/6200 points

Champion Training Event is a rather low point requirement and we do have 4 days to complete this! Make sure you’re focusing all your energy on the campaign when you can to get this finished!

Make sure you are also levelling your chickens BEFORE feeding them to get the extra points, you can do this easily by just throwing a few brews into the 4*/5* chickens before you use them as food, it will really help you gain your points to make this doable.

Take this time to level up all of your food and 6 stars some of the champions you’ve wanted to for a while!

Alternatively, this is a great time to level up the epics that are needed for the fusion, to get them ready for either keeping or fusing Sigmund.

spacer

Day 13:

New Events:
Dungeon Divers Event 3 – 15x Scabrius / 15x Demytha – 1200/1950 points

This dungeon divers event is not too bad, especially as it syncs up with Clan vs Clan, Champion Training Event and the additional Spider Tournament starting tomorrow. This will be a nice way to double-dip while finishing up your fusion :)

spacer

Day 14:

Today is the FINAL day of the fusion events, from today you will have 4 days to fuse Sigmund the Highshield.

New Events:
Artifact Enhancement Event – x20 Thylessia – 2625 Points

To get this events Fragments, you’ll require 2625 points in the artifact enhancement event – there are some great methods for doing this easily, to save as much silver as possible.

Artifact Enhancement

1. If you pre-rolled your gear to level 7/11/15 before the event, you can go ahead and burn through your silver taking these up by 1 level each to gain quick easy points.

2. The other really good option for these events, is doing a good old gear clear-out, roll things that you might want to keep up to see how the stats play out, sell things that you won’t want to keep, a great guide for this is here.

New “Ring Teams”* – better than unkillable teams!

Demytha (new dwarf void epic). A2 – fully booked, always use (#1). A3 – never use, opening move.

Hellborn Sprite (demonspawn rare – need two). A2 – don’t use. A3 – fully booked, always use (#1).

Speed tuning: no-one between Demytha and a Hellborn Sprite.

This gives you permanent block damage! Then you can add any other champion(s) you want. You’ll need someone to block debuffs if the CB wants to stun one of these three.

Think about these in Spider. This should be a great team anywhere you don’t have someone removing or stealing buffs.

* “Ring Team” – Lord of the Rings: One ring to rule them all… This is: One team to rule them all…

Alas, increase buff duration cannot extend unkillable, block damage, or revive on death.

How is it better? The CB still will kill you after 50 turns.

2 suggestions:

1. It would be great to have a link to the fusion character page. You guys did a wonderful job linking the epics and it would be nice to have a link for the actual fusion character as well.
2. I would love to have a landing page from your menu for all of the fusions (kind of like Ayumilove). You could have a link to all of these articles. They are really difficult to find if you want to look up one of these articles from a past fusion to compare it to the current one.

Thanks for all you provide on the site!

Obviously, I didn’t know that you can’t extend Unkillable, Block Damage, and Revive on Death. It’s not listed in the description of either ability (and they are buffs, so I thought that they could be extended).

I was trying to build an unkillable team, but I’m lacking one Maneater or some other champion that allows it. The only champion I have now is Roshcard the Tower, but I haven’t found anything that lists some way of using just him (without a maneater, warcaster, or some other champion I don’t have), plus his Block Damage is for 2 turns with a 4 turn cool-down.

I was hoping to do a ton of damage to the CB while having permanent Block Damage – something I couldn’t figure out how to do. I know after turn 50, the CB will ignore it, but my goal was to survive up to that point.

it won’t be hard to run tower at a 4:3 ratio with everyone else at normal speeds with the void dwarf bring in brogni or some other block debuffs with two dps slots and you’re set

I just noticed a trick that Plarium put into this fusion – to get the most desirable epic (Demytha), you’ll need to complete both of the summoning events (she’s the second champion in both events so you’ll have to use a lot of shards) or be number one or two in the Fire Knight tournament. Since you can get a maximum of 120 fragments for her, 25 from the summoning rush means that you can’t skip it without winning the tournament.

Yep, created a paywall… plarium the money grabbing gits.

Even if they had put her in first for summons that may have been slightly more palatable… slightly.

Yep, I went from first place by 1k points before the Summon Rush opened to endlessly playing FK to stay a couple hundred points ahead. Finished all the rewards 1200 points ago, so it almost seems like wasting points.

Something is wrong here and I feel like if I had not looked here and worked out that I missed Demytha I probably would have been able to complete the fusion.

The reason I am saying this is because I finished Thylessia today and haven’t been top of any tournament, according to your breakdown that should not be possible
