DOROTHY’S SKILLS EXPLAINED

A1 – EMERALD BLAST
This is a great A1! Removing 1 buff sounds small but is very useful against many bosses who have one nasty buff only (surprisingly common) like Reflect Damage in Hydra.
Against single-target bosses this can be a very reliable source of Weaken (especially if you turn off her A3 against stun-immune bosses).
A2 – WINDSTORM
On one level this A2 is an affinity-friendly AoE Decrease DEF; very useful in all PvE content.
The Decrease ACC debuff is more interesting though in 2026, with RES teams becoming more common for difficult content like Chimera Clan Boss or the Grim Forest. This is a particularly noteworthy combo with The Scarecrow from the Oz event, who brings the complementary Increase RES buff.
It’s difficult to build enough RES to make use of this as a new player, but players who get closer to mid-game or later can potentially make great use out of this debuff.
A3 – FURIOUS TORNADO
This A3 is the highlight of her kit for new players, providing a free champion with a very reliable source of CC: a potentially affinity-friendly 100% Stun on a 4-turn cooldown. She also not only Steals all buffs from all enemies but Spreads them to your team too.
This will massively help with progressing through all areas of the game where you are fighting waves of enemies: Dungeon waves; Faction Wars; Arena; Doom Tower; Cursed City, etc.
The two downsides here are the slighly long cooldown (we can improve this with certain builds or teams) and it being a low-value ability against many bosses (most are immune to Stun and many have no buffs to Steal either).
We’ll discuss the Oz Unity effects later in this guide.
P1 – TRUE FRIEND
There are 3 parts to this passive and they’re all great.
Firstly, she gains a bunch of bonus HP and SPD; the SPD in particular is massive and will make her debuffs more consistent.
Secondly, all allies team up to attack the enemy who killed her whenever she dies. This was bugged on the Test Server but is good in theory. If this kills a dangerous damage dealer in wave-content it could save your run; it could be clutch against the Fire Knight shield too.
Thirdly, she activates her A3 for free whenever she is revived. This is fight-swinging ability and can save your entire team from a tough wave or PvP fight which has gone badly wrong!
AURA – SPD IN ALL BATTLES
This 19% SPD in All Battles Aura is fantastic, being a top choice for all PvE content and very strong in PvP too.
THE BEST AREAS FOR DOROTHY

As you can see from the section above, Dorothy is a very versatile support champion who can thrive in almost any area of the game.
WAVE BASED CONTENT: DUNGEONS, FACTION WARS, GRIM FOREST, ETC.
Dorothy is at her absolute best when facing enemy waves (i.e. teams of enemy champions).
Her AoE Stuns, Buff Steals, and Decrease DEF debuffs in particular will set your team up to tear through any waves you fight. Her passive helps her stay consistent and gives you a couple of powerful fallback effects if things start going wrong.
BOSS FIGHTS
Dorothy loses a bit of value against some bosses but she is still valuable thanks to her A1 and A2–and even more so if she’s your source of 5-star Brimstone. Against single-target bosses you probably want to turn off her A3 since all of them are immune to Stun.
Note that if bosses have minions or some really nasty buffs, this changes everything: now Dorothy is in her element and can use her A3 to immense effect. This will be huge for Grim Forest mini-bosses and the new Champion Proving Grounds dungeon–not to mention taking down her nemesis Ozilda in the Event Dungeon too!
PvP – ARENA AND SIEGE
Dorothy will be incredibly strong for new players in PvP but she will start to require more setup as players get further in the game.
Mercurial gear is the main reason here: earned from Grim Forest, this gear set provides the Total Guard buff which will protect champions from Dorothy’s Buff Steal, Stun, and debuffs while it’s active.
You will need a multi-hit champion to go before her to remove these Total Guard stacks to get good value out of her. The Deflection gear set at 6-pieces can also help her remove it herself!
HOW STRONG IS DOROTHY WITH OTHER OZ CHAMPIONS?

Is her Oz Unity any good?
Dorothy has a special set of Oz Unity effects on her A3 which is similar to what we saw before with Faction Unity champions or Leonardo.
Unfortunately, her Oz Unity is fairly weak:
The first stage prevents her from weak hitting on her A3. Unfortunately, Plarium have stated that this is intended not to work against things like Poison Cloud and Enfeeble: in other words, it doesn’t apply to half the cases where you are weak hitting… That being said, it’s still useful to make her consistent for different affinities in Dungeon waves etc.
The second stage is good for early-game arena, but from mid-game on you’ll still be in trouble, since enemies are likely protected from her A3 anyway by Mercurial gear.
The third stage is very difficult to achieve and is basically only useful in PvP–and even then the Polymorph Blessing is much less common in 2026 than it was in the past. You can likely ignore this entirely.
Oz Partners Ranked
This is the best overall pairing for Dorothy due to how well his kit compliments hers:
- He brings True Fear for 2-turns to give high control coverage when paired with her Stun debuffs
- Dorothy can buff spread his buffs with her A3 to help him keep uptime
- He brings great damage, and self-buffs his damage to take advantage of her Decrease DEF and Weaken
- He’s the second-easiest champion to get since he is the Fusion.
- Mavara the Web Diviner is a perfect 3rd teammate to add to this to form an incredible combo!
The Scarecrow is an excellent pairing with Dorothy for tough boss encounters with minions and/or high RES requirements.
- The Scarecrow brings Increase RES for your team which pairs wonderfully with Dorothy’s ability to place Decrease ACC in AoE, protecting your from debuffs and negative effects.
- This is a strong pairing for content like Chimera Clan Boss or the Champion Proving Grounds dungeon.
- He is also the only Oz champion with a revive, which can activate Dorothy’s passive.
The Tin Woodman brings even more damage to the table than the Lion does, taking advantage of Dorothy’s Decrease DEF and Weaken debuffs.
- His Ally Attack can help her maintain her Weaken debuff more consistently.
- He’s in the Banner Lords Faction too, so they can be run together for any Faction-limited content, opening up Dorothy’s 1 Oz Ally Unity.
Ozilda overlaps with Dorothy, so running both together is often redundant or leaves your team too lacking in other respects.
- For PvP, we would recommend only choosing one of these champions.
- For PvE waves, you could run both to double-down on control, but it is usually going to be overkill.
Other Great Teammates
Mavara is a brilliant pairing with Dorothy for the same reason as the Scarecrow: bringing a revive alongside an Increase RES buff.
She’s also the Lion’s best friend, making the three of them an insanely good F2P combo for basically every single piece of content in the game.
2. Raglin
Within the Banner Lords faction, Raglin stands out as incredible pairing with Dorothy due to her super-powered 2-turn cooldown revive which can trigger Dorothy’s passive and reset her cooldowns over and over again.
HOW TO BUILD DOROTHY

Dorothy should be built as a classic debuff/control support champion, focusing on high ACC and SPD to take as many turns as possible so she can land as many debuffs as possible throughout each fight.
Best Stats
The key stats to look for on Dorothy are:
- ACC
- SPD
- HP
- DEF
- RES
To build Dorothy, the first step is to build enough ACC for her to succesfully land her debuffs.
Check out the Raid Stages Tool to check any given stage to get precise ACC requirements. As a rough rule of thumb, we recommend the following: 200 ACC for early-game; 350 for mid-game; 500 for late-game.
After you have enough ACC, simply stack as much SPD as possible. This helps her land her Stun promptly and to rotate quickly through her abilities.
We recommend 200+ SPD even for new players, then aim for 300+ by late-game.
HP and DEF can fill in the rest for survivability.
For advanced players, you can build her with good RES to try to resist enemies when you have Decrease ACC up (aim for 300+ minimum).
Best Gear Sets
The best sets for Dorothy are:
Any sets which boost her priority stats (i.e. ACC and SPD) are great choices.
Feral is her best choice if you can get 9-pieces due to the 5% damage boost per debuff it will provide your team.
Deflection is a specialist set for countering Mercurial gear in late-game PvP. It’s a very difficult set to get, mainly crafted through the Forge or won in Platinum Classic Arena.
Speed, Perception, and Pinpoint are simply for the stats. Impulse is an upgraded version of Speed that gives cooldown reduction.
Reflex and Relentless both allow her to cycle through her abilities more quickly. You can pair this with 4-piece Merciless for a dedicated CDR build.
Supersonic 4-piece is powerful for PvP, giving turn meter when enemies gain buffs: use this to cut in against them and Steal the buffs with her A3.
Mercurial and Stoneskin are good PvP defensive sets (mercurial is best at 9-piece or for faster builds; and Stoneskin at 4-piece or for slower builds).

- Perched Shadow (Epic Faction Wars Relic): A fantastic PvE option which will help her cycle turns and maintain her debuffs.
- Molten Deathbell (Rare Chimera Relic): Her best budget option which provides ACC and some nice turn meter boosts to her A3.
- Wand of Submission (Legendary Standard Relic): Provides HP and SPD and protection from control debuffs. A decent option for PvP.
