Celince Animus Spotlight

Let’s talk about Celince, the Celestial Rain—a hybrid unit who brings both the storm and the shield. In Etheria: Restart, Celince stands out as a jack of all trades, offering debuff control, light sustain, and a sprinkle of utility that makes her deceptively versatile. Whether you’re looking to disrupt enemy passives or blunt incoming damage, there’s more to this rainy-day Animus than meets the eye.

In this Article, we are going to be breaking down the best ways to utilize Celince, and how to gear her for the best possible results.

Skill Analysis

Skill 1: Toxic Drizzle

  • Deals 240% damage to a single enemy.
  • 40% chance to apply two random debuffs from the following:
    • DoT (Damage over Time): 4% Max HP damage at the start of turn.
    • Silence: Limits enemies to basic attacks.
    • Oblivion: Prevents passive skills from activating.

This is deceptively strong. Shutting down passives or limiting skills can swing momentum in both PvP and PvE—when it lands. The random element can be a double-edged sword though, especially against bosses immune to these effects.

Skill 2 (Passive): Healing Mist / Rain Curtain

  • At the end turn, grants Aqua Shield to all allies equal to 12% of her Max HP.
  • Rain Curtain adds:
    • 40% damage absorption
    • Reflects 75% of absorbed damage
    • Increases effect RES by 30% while active

A flexible tool, but admittedly light on impact. The 12% shield can feel flimsy, especially in tougher PvE or PvP encounters. However, the reflect damage and effect resistance bonus give it more tactical value in longer fights.

Skill 3: Grim Deluge

  • Hits all enemies 4 times for 75% damage each hit.
  • Each hit has a 30% chance to apply:
    • Attack Down (2 turns)
    • Crit Rate Down (2 turns)

This is her powerhouse move. A multi-hit AoE with strong debuffs, it cripples enemy damage output—especially against high-threat DPS. Ideal for both boss fights and PvP stall strategies.

Skill Investment Order

Priority Order: Skill 3 → Skill 1 → Skill 2

Skill 3 – Grim Deluge

  • +Damage increases
  • +Debuff application rate
  • 1 turn cooldown reduction (huge for uptime)

Skill 1 – Toxic Drizzle

  • +Damage
  • +Debuff chance
  • +Extra debuff count

Skill 2 – Passive/Rain Curtain

  • +Shield strength
  • +Damage reflection
  • Mostly quality of life, but not urgent

Focus your resources on Skill 3 first—it’s her primary value generator. Skill 1 adds bonus disruption, while her passive is more supportive and secondary.

How to Build Celince

Early Game Module Sets:

  • Wellspring – +45% HP (12-piece): Boosts survivability for better shield values.
  • Bramble – +10% DEF and 25% chance to counterattack (8-piece): Works great with Skill 1 debuffs.
  • Unbreakable – +45% DEF (12-piece): Makes her tankier if you need a frontliner.
  • Swift Rush – +35% Speed (12-piece): Keeps her cycling quickly to reapply debuffs and shields.

Mid-to-Late Game Sets:

  • Bloodbath – +18% Effect RES; reduces damage taken after 20% HP loss (12-piece): More survivability against burst.
  • Ether Plague – +25% HP, +20% Effect ACC (Cataclysm): Solid balance of bulk and debuff reliability.
  • Swift Raid – Speed + Attack: More offensive.
  • Swift Smite – +15% Speed, +20% Effect ACC: Great balance of tempo and debuff utility.

Stat Priorities

Early Game:

  • HP % (for shields)
  • Speed (to cycle skills and apply debuffs faster)
  • Effect Accuracy (so your debuffs actually land)

Late Game:

  • Effect Accuracy (high priority)
  • Speed
  • HP %
  • Effect RES (optional, for survivability in PvP)

Shell Recommendations

Early Game Shells:

  • Diamond Heart
  • Mermaid Princess
  • Shan Hai Jing,These offer flexible support, stat boosts, and small amounts of utility for debuffers.

Mid-to-Late Game Shells:

  • Black Moon
  • Codex of Magic
  • Lighthouse
  • Artisan
  • Alicorn

High-value utility Shells that enhance effect accuracy, cooldowns, or provide powerful passive benefits—ideal for a control-focused support like Cence.

Pros and Cons

Pros:

  • Consistent debuffing: Attack Down, Crit Rate Down, Silence, and Oblivion cover both offensive and defensive disruption.
  • Multi-hit AoE: Grim Deluge reliably spreads debuffs across the enemy team.
  • Damage reflection synergy: Rain Curtain punishes enemies for hitting your team.
  • Passive shields & resistance: Offers some team sustain and helps allies resist debuffs.
  • Scales with effect accuracy: Great synergy with specific sets and Shells.

Cons:

  • Master of none: Doesn’t excel in any one area—just decent utility across the board.
  • Shield strength is underwhelming: 12% HP shields can be shredded quickly.
  • Debuff randomness: Skill 1 relies on chance and not all debuffs work in PvE.
  • Weak against immune bosses: Many PvE encounters resist Silence, DoT, and Oblivion.
  • Gear-dependent: Needs solid speed and effect accuracy investment to shine.
