How to Start Strong in Etheria Restart
Starting strong in Etheria: Restart can make or break your first week, especially with the revised progression system. In this updated guide, we’ll walk through how to build momentum from day one, manage your summons, stamina, and team composition, and reach your first six-star characters quickly without burning out
Banner Strategy and the “Perfect Start”

The first major decision is choosing where to summon. If you’re aiming for a “perfect start”—getting two or three SSRs early on—you should focus on the Permanent Banner, not the Direct Summon or Limited one. The Permanent Banner contains all characters, including light and dark units, and provides the widest pool for early account building. If players are truly looking to min max, you should use your first 30 summons on the permanent banner and look to secure one of the top tier heroes (Lily, Dokidoki etc…) if not consider re-rolling until RnG is on your side. Do note, if you take advantage of the rebate in the final beta, re-rolling will not be an option for you on launch.
After this point, you should then move to the direct summon banner and secure your chosen SSR. Only then should you move onto Limited banner.
The Limited Banner (such as Freya’s) uses summon currency and isn’t worth pulling on until after your first few SSRs are secured. Once you do get Freya, get out of the banner and resume building with standard summons. You’ll get plenty of summon currency over time— a strong start is about maximizing account power and getting 3 SSR Animus certainly helps you along that path.
Early Progression – Stamina is Everything
For the first one to two weeks, you should fully recharge stamina daily using available resources. This allows for maximum content clearing, EXP farming, and material grinding. Don’t worry about running out of summon currency—the game gives you more than enough if you’re actively playing.
Playing aggressively early will unlock important systems like:
- Arena (Level 15)
- Infinity Train (Level 15)
- Ethernet Rally (Level 40)
- Ember Trek (Level 25)
- Guild Content
Reaching these quickly gives you access to better gear, more events, and increased currency income.
Dailies and Weeklies – Effortless Completion

The game’s daily and weekly tasks are extremely manageable. Just playing normally (campaign, events, etc.) completes most tasks passively. You can knock out all weekly missions in a single day if you’re active, so there’s no need to grind beyond your regular play.
If you’re struggling to complete them, it likely means you’re not playing enough rather than the tasks being too difficult.
Overstacking – Power Through One Unit

“Overstacking” means pouring your best resources—EXP, limit breaks, gear, and shells—into a single carry unit. This unit should ideally be an SSR, but certain SRs like Kraken are so strong they’re worth investing in.
Top overstack candidates include:
- Your Direct Summon Choice – ideal starter carry.
- Lian – Dual AOE/single target hybrid, easy to use.
- Kraken – CC monster with stun and defense break.
- Victor, Dinah, and Freya – All viable depending on what you pull.
The goal is to get your carry to six-star as fast as possible, max their core skills (normally Skill 3 but not always), and equip them with gold gear and high-quality shells.
Gearing Up – Speed and Stat Optimization
After reaching gold gear dungeons (like Terrormaton), start farming speed sets and offensive stats. Prioritize pieces that roll:
- Speed
- Crit Rate / Crit Damage
- Attack%
Avoid flat stats. If you’re stuck with flat HP or Attack on a gear piece, reroll it or pass it down to another unit.
Overstacked characters should get fully enhanced gold gear, ideally +15. For supporting characters or lower rarities, stick to +6–9 purple pieces.
Also, upgrade prowess levels to improve your carry’s multipliers. Don’t forget to boost ultimate abilities with Evolution Lattices and Perfect Lattices when available.
Best Farming Spots – Doki & Terrormaton

Focus your stamina refills on stages that give the most return:
- Terrormaton – For early speed gear
- Doki Doki – For harvest and other core sets
Team comp tip: Lian, Freya, Dorothy, and a control animus create a strong base. Consistent CC and Dorothy’s sustain allow Lian and Freya to cycle damage and stay alive.
The faster you can clear content, the faster you’ll level, gear up, and unlock advanced content.
Leveling Fast – Investigation Farming
If someone asks, “How do I level fast?” the answer is simple: Investigations.
Set your team to auto-run 10 battles at a time. They’ll fly through content, especially once your carry is geared. Use max stamina refills to loop investigations until your team hits the EXP cap. You’ll be surprised how fast you hit Level 40 or even 50 in just a few days.
Once your team is ready, move on to elite modes and advanced progression.
Guild Content – Don’t Sleep On It

Joining a guild (union) opens up even more rewards:
- Guild Bosses drop currency, prints, and stamina
- The Guild Shop contains Shadow Prints and Red Prints at higher union levels
- Weekly tasks can be completed via support characters
Use strong single-target allies like Rilmocha, Rosa, or Massiah for guild bosses. If you’re in a guild with whales, their characters can carry you—be sure to request their strongest units for shared support slots.
Final Thoughts – You’ll Be Fine Without Whaling
Even as a free-to-play player, you’ll get:
- More than enough summons
- Access to strong units like Lian and Dorothy
- Tons of stamina (with smart refills)
- Gold gear by day 2 or 3
- A six-star character within 1–2 days
You won’t match whales in PvP, but you will be able to clear nearly all content and thrive in PvE. The early progression system is smoother than ever, and with proper stamina management and an overstacked carry, you’ll be “OP” in no time.
