Summoning in Etheria: Restart

Whether you’re new to gacha games or a seasoned summoner chasing pixelated perfection, Etheria: Restart brings the full gacha experience with a stylish twist. At its heart, this game thrives on the thrill of summoning powerful heroes, but the key to making the most out of your summons lies in understanding the system. From pity timers to summon currencies, this guide breaks down everything you need to know to start strong, summon smart, and stack up those SSRs.

Let’s dive into the summoning pool and see what’s lurking beneath the RNG waves!

The Basics of Summoning in Etheria: Restart

Etheria: Restart uses a classic gacha system, meaning every pull is governed by probabilities. You’re not guaranteed your dream hero on the first try—or the 10th—but the game includes some quality-of-life features (like pity systems and summon records) to take a bit of the sting out of bad luck streaks.

Summons are performed using either Anima Prototypes or Apex Prototypes, which act as tickets. These can be earned in various ways:

  • Hydra Crystals: Trade 100 for one Anima Prototype or 300 for one Apex Prototype.
  • Game Modes & Events: Ani-sync Echoes, Ember Abyss, Ethernet Rally, Investigation rewards, Arena and Union Shops, and achievements all dish out summons.

You’ll be pulling often. The key is knowing where and when to do it.

The Summon Shop: Turning Dupes into Power

Every gacha veteran knows the pain of pulling duplicates—but Etheria makes them worthwhile.

  • R-rated dupe: 10 Anima Crystals
  • SR dupe: 50 Anima Crystals
  • SSR dupe: 100 Anima Crystals

These crystals can be spent in the Summon Shop, which resets monthly. Here, you’ll find premium items like Perfect Lattices, Shadowprints, and more. Pro tip? Save your crystals until the end of the month—you never know what rare items might just slide into the shop rotation.

Permanent Summon Banner – Your Mainstay Option

The Permanent Summon is always available and uses Anima Prototypes. Every hero in the game is in this pool, making it a great general-purpose option.

Drop Rates:

  • SSR: 1%
    • 0.75% for Odd/Hollow/Reason
    • 0.25% for Constant/Disorder
  • SR: 9%
    • 6.75% for Odd/Hollow/Reason
    • 2.25% for Constant/Disorder
  • R: 90%

Pity System:

A hard cap at 80 pulls—guaranteed SSR on the 80th if you haven’t already hit one. A soft pity begins at 50. And yes, you can use your hydra crystals to get more summons here.

And no need to track your pulls manually—Etheria’s built-in Summon Record keeps everything nice and tidy.

Extra Affinity Summon – Target Constant/Disorder Units

Want a higher chance at those elusive Constant or Disorder heroes? The Extra Affinity Summon is your go-to.

This banner also runs permanently, but only uses Apex Prototypes. You can’t use hydra crystals here, but the payoff is worth it: All SR and SSR heroes pulled here will be Constant or Disorder.

Same drop rates, same pity system (80 hard pity). But with only 5 SSRs in these elements currently, your odds of targeting one are significantly better.

Directed Summon – Your Beginner’s Best Friend

When you first start playing, the Directed Summon banner is a gift. You’ll be allowed to choose one SSR hero and are guaranteed to pull them within 40 summons—that’s half the usual pity cap!

This is huge for early game progression, especially since you get other free heroes like Lian (a DPS) and Lingluo (7-day login reward). We highly recommend going for a carry SSR like Rilmocha or Tiamat to round out your team.

Here’s the list of SSRs to choose from in CBT:

⚠️ Avoid picking Lingluo since they’re free through progression events.

Featured Banner – Boosted Odds for Targeted Heroes

This rotating banner focuses on Odd, Hollow, or Reason heroes and lets you chase a certain SSR and three SRs. Anytime you pull a SSR, you are guaranteed to get the featured Animus.

Drop Rates:

  • SSR: 1% (only the featured one)
  • SR: 9%
    • 4.5% chance for one of the three featured
    • 4.5% split among all others

Pity: Hard cap at 100 pulls, with no soft pity.

Uses Anima Prototypes, and hydra crystals are fair game here.

Apex Featured Banner – Premium Power

The Apex Featured banner is the high-tier cousin of the standard featured. It contains a Constant or Disorder SSR with a single targeted SR.

Drop Rates:

  • SSR: 1% (featured only)
  • SR: 9%
    • 4.5% for the featured
    • 4.5% for the rest

Pity: 100-pull hard cap, no soft pity.

This banner uses Apex Prototypes, and yes—you can convert hydra crystals for more.

Transcendence Banner – Guaranteed SSR

The Transcendence Summon banner is the rarest banner. It only appears when you get a transcendent summon ticket and is the number one way to to chase SSR Animus. It contains all animus in the game including Constant and Disorder SSR.

Drop Rates:

SSR:

  • 75% Odd, Hollow & Reason
  • 25% Constant & Disorder

Ascension Summon Banner – Guaranteed SR or higher

The Ascension Summon banner guarantees a SR or higher unit. It has the 2nd highest drop chance for SSR Animus in Etheria Restart and contains Constant & Disorder units.

Drop Rates:

SSR: 10%

  • 7.5% Odd, Hollow & Reason
  • 2.5 Constant & Disorder

SR: 90%

  • 67.5% Odd, Hollow & Reason
  • 22.5% Constant & Disorder

Final Thoughts – Summon Smart, Summon Often

The summoning system in Etheria: Restart may seem overwhelming at first, but once you understand how each banner works, it becomes a strategic part of your journey. Between pity mechanics, targeted banners, and duplicate rewards, the game gives you plenty of ways to chase your dream team without falling victim to pure RNG.

Whether you’re hoarding for the next Constant SSR drop or just pulling on every free Anima Prototype you earn—every summon brings you one step closer to victory.
