Chiaki the Echo Animus Spotlight

Chiaki the Echo is a powerful SR-tier turn manipulation specialist in Eheria: Restart. She brings a rare combination of strike prep boosting, strike prep protection, and team-wide attack buffs, making her one of the most valuable supports for speed-tuned team compositions. While her kit may look simple at first glance, her A Maria buff alone makes her a cornerstone for advanced PvE and PvP teams.

In this Article, we are going to be breaking down the best ways to utilize Chiaki the Echo, and how to gear her for the best possible results.

Skill Analysis

Sound Surge (Skill 1)

Single-target strike dealing 240% damage, while purifying 1 debuff from the ally with the most. A helpful utility skill that adds team cleansing without taking up a main support slot.

Violin Inspiration (Passive)

Before her turn, randomly applies Attack Up to 2 allies. If they already have Attack Up, applies A Maria, a unique buff that:

  • Prevents strike prep setback or stealing
  • Boosts other allies’ strike prep by 6% at turn end

Chiaki is the only unit who provides this kind of strike prep immunity and acceleration.

Bright Melody (Skill 3)

Boosts all allies’ strike prep by 20% and grants 2 turns of Attack Up. If the target already has Attack Up, applies 2 turns of A Maria. This is the centerpiece of her kit and the best way to maintain team tempo while locking in key buffs.

Skill Investment Order

Priority Order: Skill 3 → Skill 2 → Skill 1

Skill 3 (Top Priority)

Level 2: Strike prep boost +18%

  • Level 3: A Maria strike prep effect +6%
  • Level 4: Strike prep boost +20%
  • Level 5: Skill cooldown -1 turn

A must-max for maximizing Ave Maria uptime and team-wide turn acceleration.

Passive (Skill 2)

Level 2: +3% effect resistance

  • Level 3: Applies A Maria if target already has Attack Up
  • Level 4: +3% effect resistance
  • Level 5: Increases number of affected allies to 3

Enables passive distribution of buffs and reliable A Maria applications.

Skill 1 (Last Priority)

  • Level 2: Damage +220%
  • Level 3: Debuff cleanse chance +80%
  • Level 4: Damage +240%
  • Level 5: Debuff cleanse chance +100%

Utility-focused, but lower priority than the rest of her kit.

How to Build Chiaki the Echo

Early Game Module Sets:

  • Swift Rush: +35% Speed
  • Strive: +10% DEF, +10% Strike Prep when hit

Mid-to-Late Game Sets:

  • Swift Raid: +15% Speed, +20% ATK
  • Timeweave: 35% chance to reduce skill cooldowns at start of turn

Chiaki’s role is primarily support and tempo control, not direct healing or DPS. She benefits most from speed, effect resistance, and survivability. You want her acting often to apply A Maria and push your team’s turns forward.

Stat Priorities

HP% / HP% / Effect Res

DEF% (Secondary stat to add durability)

Substats to aim for:

  • Speed (must-have)
  • Effect Res
  • HP / DEF for bulk
  • Minor ATK or Effect Accuracy (optional)

Pros and Cons

Pros:

  • Incredible turn acceleration with Ave Maria and skill 3
  • Strike prep lockout — one of the only units that can prevent pushback/steal
  • Applies Attack Up consistently to boost team damage
  • Purifies debuffs passively, adding utility
  • One of the strongest SR units in the game

Cons:

  • Requires good speed tuning to maintain Ave Maria uptime
  • Relies on pre-existing Attack Up to apply Ave Maria, requiring smart rotations or external support
  • Doesn’t provide healing or raw DPS, making her purely supportive in nature
  • Slightly higher skill ceiling due to buff/rotation management
