Diting Animus Spotlight

Shadow Hunter Diting is a surprisingly powerful SR Animus that brings high-value single-target burst damage and crit scaling to the table. While often overlooked due to his rarity, Diting boasts one of the highest innate crit mechanics in Etheria: Restart. His kit is purpose-built for nuking priority targets and excelling in boss fights. If you’re after an assassin-style DPS that can delete threats with precision, Diting might just be the sniper your roster needs.

In this Article, we are going to be breaking down the best ways to utilize Diting, and how to gear his for the best possible results.

Skill Analysis

Rapid Fire (Skill 1)

Fires at a single enemy for 260% damage and has a 40% chance to apply Vulnerability for two turns. Vulnerability increases the target’s damage taken by 30%, helping both Diting and his allies punch harder.

Exclusive Mark (Passive)

At the start of his turn, Diting marks the enemy with the lowest HP%, gaining:

  • +60% Crit Rate against that enemy for his next skill
  • Any excess Crit Rate over 100% is converted to Crit Damage at a 120% ratio

This makes Diting the only character in the game who can overcap Crit Rate for bonus Crit Damage, allowing insane scaling. The passive effectively reduces gear requirements while amplifying his burst ceiling.

Power Shot (Skill 3)

Deals 450% damage to a single target. If the target is marked, Diting follows up with Rapid Fire, meaning another 260% hit. This combo can reach a devastating 710% damage before factoring in crits, vulnerability, or support buffs—making Diting a true nuker.

Skill Investment Order

Priority Order: Skill 2 → Skill 3 → Skill 1

Top Priority – Exclusive Mark (Passive)

  • Level 1: Crit Rate bonus +50%
  • Level 2: Crit Damage conversion +80%
  • Level 3: Crit Rate bonus +60%
  • Level 4: Crit Damage conversion +120%

This passive is the core of his kit—max it early to fully unlock his scaling potential.

Second Priority – Power Shot (Skill 3)

  • Level 1: Follow-up chance +80%
  • Level 2: Damage +450%
  • Level 3: Follow-up chance +100%
  • Level 4: Cooldown -1 turn

Unlocks consistent follow-ups and lowers cooldown for more frequent bursts.

Last Priority – Rapid Fire (Skill 1)

  • Level 1: Damage +240%
  • Level 2: Vulnerability chance +40%
  • Level 3: Damage +260%
  • Level 4: Vulnerability duration +2 turns

Nice to level for uptime on vulnerability, but not as high impact as the other two.

How to Build Diting

Early Game Module Sets:

  • Onslaught – +45% ATK (12 Matrix)
  • Harvest – +10% ATK, ignores 30% DEF if target HP >50%
  • Momentum – +12% Crit Rate, up to +30% bonus damage based on debuffs

Mid-to-Late Game Sets:

  • Fury Edge – +12% Crit Rate, +20% Crit Damage

This set synergizes perfectly with Diting’s passive for maximum burst scaling.

Stat Priorities

Early Game Main Stats:

  • Crit Rate %
  • Crit Damage %
  • ATK %

Late Game Main Stats:

  • Crit Damage %
  • ATK %
  • Effect Accuracy or Speed (flex depending on needs)

Sub Stats to Aim For:

  • Crit Rate
  • Crit Damage
  • ATK %

  • Speed (for turn rotation optimization)

The passive covers a large portion of Crit Rate needs, allowing you to lean more into Crit Damage and ATK.

Mid-to-Late Game Shells:

Pros and Cons

Pros:

  • Unmatched Crit Efficiency – Converts Crit Rate over 100% into Crit Damage
  • One of the Highest Burst Kits in the Game – 710% base damage with scaling
  • Built-in Vulnerability – Increases damage taken, great synergy with other DPS
  • SR Accessibility – Easier to pull and upgrade
  • Low Setup Required – Doesn’t need crit buffers, thanks to his passive

Cons:

  • Gear Dependent – Needs good stats to unlock full potential
  • Rotation Reliant – Needs to stay alive long enough to use Power Shot optimally
