Hoyan Animus Spotlight

Hoyan is one of Etheria Restart’s most fearsome single-target nukers. Branded as the “Hidden Hunting” assassin, she delivers devastating burst damage, executes enemies permanently, and even has built-in revive denial. Her skillset is tailor-made for PvP isolation and bossing content, where deleting key threats can completely turn the tide of battle. What sets Hoyan apart is her ability to ignore defense, deny healing, and scale off her own survival instincts—making her both deadly and self-sufficient.

In this Article, we are going to be breaking down the best ways to utilize Hoyan, and how to gear her for the best possible results.

Skill Analysis

Relentless Hunt (Skill 1)

Two hits at 130% damage each, with a 25% chance to inflict Anti-Heal for 2 turns. While simple on paper, the anti-heal effect is critical against sustain-heavy teams. This stops healing, gives your team breathing room, and sets up Hoyan’s execution potential.

Disillusion (Passive)

This is where things get wild.

  • Survival mechanic: When about to be defeated, Hoyan restores 60% HP and instantly uses Execution Rite (Skill 3) on her attacker.
  • Execute effect: When she defeats a target, that unit cannot be revived, and one fallen ally is revived based on the defeated target’s lost HP.
  • Fleeting Glance: Grants herself a stacking attack boost (up to 3 times) each time her passive activates.

This passive gives her death-proof burst, revive denial, team utility, and scaling power—all in one.

Execution Rite (Skill 3)

Hoan consumes 50% of her current HP to deal 480% damage to a single target and ignore 6.5% DEF per 10% HP lost.

  • With the HP cost and innate DEF ignore scaling, this skill becomes a devastating finishing move.
  • The 480% modifier, when combined with ignore defense, means few units can survive once she gets going.

Skill Investment Order

Priority Order: Skill 2 → Skill 3 → Skill 1

Skill 2 (Passive)

  • Increases HP restoration, Fleeting Glance’s attack boost, adds cooldown reduction after revival, and boosts her stacking power.
  • This passive is the engine of her kit—boosting her survival, offense, and synergy.

Skill 3 (Execution Rite)

  • Boosts damage multiplier and increases DEF ignore %, then reduces cooldown.
  • Each node makes this skill significantly stronger and more accessible.

Skill 1

  • decent, but doesn’t drive her playstyle.
  • Improves damage and anti-heal effectiveness.

How to Build Hoyan

Early Game Module Sets:

  • Onslaught (ATK +45%)
  • Momentum (CRIT Rate +12%; bonus damage per debuff on target)
  • Harvest (ATK +10%; ignores 30% DEF if enemy HP >50%)

Mid-to-Late Game Sets:

  • Keen Eye (CRIT DMG +18%; damage ramp-up each hit)
  • Fury (ATK +10%; bonus crit damage)
  • Fury Edge (CRIT Rate +12%, CRIT DMG +20%)
  • Ether Plague (HP +25%, Effect Accuracy +20%) — useful if investing in sustain or hybrid setups

Stat Priorities

Main Stats:

  • Crit Damage %
  • Attack %
  • Crit Rate %

Sub stats to aim for:

  • Crit Damage %
  • Attack %
  • Crit Rate %
  • Effect Accuracy (for anti-heal consistency)
  • Speed (optional for better turn cycling)

Shell Recommendations

Early Game Shells:

  • Agent Lizard
  • Budo Panda
  • Twilight Knight
  • Crossroads
  • White Fang
  • Count – standard starter coverage

Mid-to-Late Game Shells:

  • Law of Silence – Applies Void State, making Hoyan immune to single-target skills (but not AoEs). This is ideal for protecting her during execution turns.
  • Golden Lion or Supernova for increased burst timing.

Shells that offer stealth, immunity, or turn boost will also benefit her glass cannon playstyle.

Pros and Cons

Pros:

  • One of the strongest single-target nukers in Etheria
  • Passive offers death prevention, revive denial, and ally revive
  • Execution Rite scales with HP loss and ignores DEF, maximizing damage
  • Anti-heal, revive block, and massive burst = ideal for both PvP and PvE
  • Unique scaling through Fleeting Glance for long fights

Cons:

  • Must secure kills to get full value from her passive and scaling
  • Squishy – one wrong turn and she’s out after her death-prevention is spent
  • Execution Rite costs HP – easy to misplay and kill yourself with poor timing
  • Needs protection (Void State or shielding) to get full damage cycles off safely
