Turandot Animus Spotlight

Turandot, the Crimson Waltz, is a hybrid support-disruptor who often gets overlooked in favor of flashier Animuses in Etheria: Restart. But don’t let that fool you!

She brings a versatile kit with teamwide buffs, strike prep manipulation, and buff removal, making her incredibly useful in both PvP and PvE. If you’re looking for a flexible unit that quietly adds tons of value, Turandot is a solid pick that deserves more attention.

In this Article, we are going to be breaking down the best ways to utilize Turandot, and how to gear her for the best possible results.

Skill Analysis

Severing Blade (Skill 1)

Strikes a single enemy three times for 80% damage per hit, with a 50% chance to grant herself Accuracy Up for two turns. This self-synergy is great—it helps her land effects from her other skills without requiring heavy investment in effect accuracy from gear.

Whirling Blades (Skill 2)

Hits an enemy four times (70% each) with a 30% chance per hit to push back strike prep by 30% and a 40% chance to dispel a buff. It’s a disruptive tool that shines against buff-heavy comps or fast teams, keeping key targets locked down and vulnerable.

Aerial Wheeling (Skill 3)

Grants Attack Up and Defense Up to all allies for two turns. While the buffs are basic, the combo is rare and highly effective—boosting both survivability and damage output at once. It’s especially helpful in early-to-mid game content and auto-teams.

Skill Investment Order

Skill 2 (Top Priority)

  • Level 2: Damage +70%
  • Level 3: Strike prep pushback +30%
  • Level 4: Setback chance +30%
  • Level 5: Buff dispel chance +40%
  • This skill gives her disruptive identity—max it first.

Skill 1 (Second Priority)

  • Level 2: Damage +75%
  • Level 3: Accuracy Up chance +50%
  • Level 4: Damage +80%
  • Level 5: Accuracy Up duration +2 turns
  • Great for consistent uptime on Accuracy Up and chip damage.

Skill 3 (Last Priority)

  • Level 2: HP +3%
  • Level 3: Cooldown -1 turn
  • Level 4: HP +3%
  • Level 5: Cooldown -1 turn
  • Buffs are useful, but this isn’t her highest-impact skill—upgrade when you have the resources.

How to Build Turandot

You can build Turandot two ways: as a tanky utility counterattacker or a hybrid debuffer with DPS. Decide based on your team’s needs.

Suggested Sets:

  • Unbreakable: +45% DEF – best early for survival
  • Wellspring: +45% HP – boosts bulk and Serpent Skin uptime
  • Bramble: +10% DEF and 25% counter chance – perfect synergy
  • Blood Bath: +18% Effect RES, 60% damage reduction vs high burst
  • Swift Smite: +15% SPD and +20% Effect ACC – ensures more debuff uptime

Stat Priorities

Main Stats:

  • Support Build: HP% / DEF% / Effect RES
  • Hybrid Build: HP% / Crit Rate / Effect Accuracy

Substats:

  • For Utility: Speed, Effect Accuracy, HP, DEF
  • For DPS-Hybrid: Speed, Crit Rate, Attack%, Effect Accuracy

Pros and Cons

Pros:

  • Attack Up + Defense Up in one skill—great early-game value
  • Pushes back enemy turns and dispels buffs, making her disruptive
  • Self-applies Accuracy Up, lowering stat requirements
  • Easy to slot into a variety of team comps for different roles

Cons:

  • Buff combo becomes less impactful later in the game when other units can provide more specialized value
  • Jack-of-all-trades design means she can be outshined in focused roles
  • Needs speed tuning to maximize skill rotations
