Victor Animus Spotlight
Victor, the Necro Miner, is one of Etheria: Restart’s most unique and underestimated characters. While he doesn’t boast flashy AoE nukes or flashy debuff kits, his power lies in his ability to survive, sustain, and hit harder the closer he is to death. He’s a bruiser that turns danger into opportunity — ideal for players who enjoy high-risk, high-reward mechanics and want a character that brings durability and self-sufficiency to any content.
In this Article, we are going to be breaking down the best ways to utilize Victor, and how to gear his for the best possible results.
Skill Analysis

Skill 1 – Monstrous Might
Victor strikes a single enemy with three hits of 90% damage each. If his HP is below 40%, he recovers HP equal to 70% of the damage dealt. This is his core sustain mechanic and triggers his whole bruiser loop. Once he dips low, he can start bouncing back quickly.
Passive – Returner’s Determination
For every 10% HP Victor loses, he gains +15% damage dealt and takes 7% less damage. This passive turns Victor into a monster the lower his health gets, fueling both his survivability and damage output in tandem.
Skill 3 – Puppet’s Fury
Victor sacrifices 40% of his current HP to deal four hits of 110% damage to a single target. This HP is converted into a shield worth 120% of the sacrificed amount for 3 turns. It’s a brilliant mechanic — self-damaging to trigger his passive and his sustain, all while shielding himself from incoming hits.
Skill Investment Order

Priority Order: Skill 3 → Skill 1 → Skill 2
Skill 3: Puppet’s Fury
- Level 2: Increases damage multiplier
- Level 3: Boosts shield duration/value
- Level 4: Reduces cooldown by 1 turn
- Level 5: Final damage boost and consistency upgrade
Skill 1: Monstrous Might
- Level 2 & 4: Damage multiplier increases
- Level 3 & 5: Enhances healing threshold and effect, boosting Victor’s ability to bounce back from low HP
Passive: Returner’s Determination (Optional)
While not always upgradeable, this passive is the engine of Victor’s kit. If upgrades become available in the future, prioritize anything that boosts damage scaling or survivability further.
How to Build Victor

Early Game Module Sets:
- Wellspring: +45% HP — vital for making his shield stronger
- Bramble: +10% DEF + 25% chance to counterattack — good synergy with his sustain and passive
- Strive or Colossal Guard: Provide DEF and effect RES to help him survive and maintain uptime
Mid-to-Late Game Sets:
- Battle Will: Grants bonus attacks and offense scaling — great for an aggressive bruiser build
- Onslaught: +45% ATK if you want to go full DPS bruiser
- Momentum: Boosts crit rate and damage for each debuff/control effect on the enemy — good for PvP or synergy teams.

- HP%, DEF% – Helps with his survivability loop
- Effect RES – Reduces chances of being stunned or silenced at the wrong moment
Shell Recommendations

Early Game Shells:
- Unbridled Science – Strike prep boost after action
- Mermaid Princess – Dispels debuffs before acting, helping Victor stay active
- Twilight Knight / Black Flag – Follow-up or prep-boosting for more damage or uptime
Mid-to-Late Game Shells:
- Lighthouse – Triggered when Victor takes 25%+ damage in a turn; heals 20% HP and boosts strike prep — perfect synergy
- Count
- Crossroads/ Shanghai Jing / Gigabyte – Increase strike prep and keep Victor rotating his kit
- Alicorn – Dispels debuffs and recovers HP based on debuffs removed
- Halloween – Can be a solid alternative in tanky or control-heavy teams
Pros and Cons
Pros:
- Sustain King: Skill 1 allows Victor to self-heal when below 40% HP — no need for external heals
- Scales with Danger: The lower his HP, the harder he hits and the less damage he takes
- Built-in Shield Mechanic: His Skill 3 self-damages but instantly converts into a massive shield
- Flexible Build Paths: Can go full bruiser, tank, or even offensive DPS depending on preference
- Good Attribute Matchups: Neutral typing allows him to perform consistently across multiple encounters
Cons:
- Tuning Required: Needs a balance between offense, HP, and survivability — tricky to gear properly
- Gear Dependent: Needs well-optimized stats (crit, HP, survivability) to perform at full potential
- Self-Damaging Mechanics: If not properly timed or protected, Victor can end up putting himself in danger without proper support
- No AoE or Utility: Focuses entirely on single-target damage and self-preservation
