Liliam Initial Playtest – Is she worth it?

The latest LD unit to hit Etheria: Restart is here—and her name is Liliam. With a clean, lightning-charged design and a high-impact kit, the big question on everyone’s mind is: Is she worth the pull? We spent time testing Liliam both in PvP and early PvE, and while her toolkit looks flashy, the results may surprise you. Let’s break down how she performs, where she shines, and whether or not she’s a must-pull for your roster.

First Impressions

On paper, Liliam looks like a PvP monster. Her kit is loaded with utility: built-in immunity to all crowd control, strong single-target damage, guaranteed stun mechanics, and even self-healing. She brings her own ATK UP and SPD UP buffs, can pierce shields, and reduces max HP—making her an anti-bruiser tool for high-end Arena. That said, her biggest gate is obvious right away: you’ll need 5 Lattice investment to unlock her full potential. Without that, she lacks immunity to turn meter effects, which limits her reliability in speed-focused PvP battles.

Skill Breakdown & Performance

Basic Attack: Deals 220% single-target damage and heals for 40% of the damage dealt. At full upgrade, adds immunity to all turn meter effects—huge for PvP.

Skill 2: Double-hitter with damage scaling on missing HP. If the target is below 50% HP, a guaranteed stun lands. If the target dies, it becomes an AoE stun. This can be clutch, but only if the damage lands—without Lattis, her numbers may fall short against bulkier enemies.

Skill 3: Her strongest burst. Applies ATK UP and SPD UP to self, then deals 420% single-target damage, with an added 35% boost against targets above 60% HP. It also ignores shields and seals 50% of the damage as max HP reduction—great for PvP against heal-heavy comps.

Her animation is satisfying, the damage is decent, but what’s missing is a passive that boosts her output further. Compared to top-tier nukers like Hoyan or Diting, Liliam lacks a built-in damage ramp or execute passive. If your build isn’t close to perfect or you lack full skill upgrades, her numbers might not be enough to secure a kill—making it harder to trigger the AoE stun effect or sweep a team.

Where She Shines

Liliam is clearly designed for PvP. The self-buffing, turn meter immunity, and control resistance all point toward a unit meant to go first, hit hard, and disrupt your opponent’s flow. In controlled matchups against squishier comps, she does great work—especially when paired with defense down and speed control units like Mio or Tsukiyo Mi.

However, in PvE content, her performance is more questionable. Without AoE, her overall wave clear is lacking compared to meta dungeon nukers. And because many high-end PvE enemies are immune to control effects like stun or have inflated HP pools, Liliam doesn’t bring as much value as other SSRs or even SRs in those modes.

Early Verdict

If you’re building for PvP and looking for a high-speed single-target nuke that can punch through shield comps, Liliam has solid potential—with investment. But if you’re low on Lattice or need more PvE carry units, she might not be the best priority.

Pros:

  • Built-in crowd control immunity
  • Self-buffing with strong single-target damage
  • Shield piercing and max HP seal
  • Potential for AoE stuns in Arena

Cons:

  • Lacks AoE wave clear for PvE
  • Needs 5 Lattice to unlock core PvP potential
  • Damage can feel underwhelming without full upgrades
  • No passive scaling like Hoyan or Diting

Final thoughts

Is Liliam worth it? For competitive PvP players with extra resources, she’s a fun and stylish option with disruptive utility. But for general progression and dungeon clears, she may be a luxury, not a necessity. If you’re strapped for Lattice or still building out your core roster, it’s probably safe to skip for now. That said, once optimised, she might end up surprising a lot of players—especially in high-tier Arena brackets.
