RC-77 Animus Spotlight

RC-77, known as the Geek Scientist, is one of the most underrated utility Animus in Athereal Restart. While he might not look like a heavy-hitter at first glance, RC-77 brings a unique blend of debuff control, turn manipulation, and accuracy scaling that makes him a standout pick in both PvP and PvE—especially for debuff-oriented teams. With self-synergizing mechanics and multipurpose utility, RC-77 thrives in longer fights where strategic layering of debuffs and turn advantage pays off.

In this Article, we are going to be breaking down the best ways to utilize RC-77, and how to gear his for the best possible results.

Skill Analysis

Serpent Bite (Skill 1)

RC-77 deals 2 hits of 120% damage to a single enemy with a 50% chance to gain Accuracy Up for 2 turns.

  • Accuracy Up reduces the stat investment needed and opens up builds focused on damage, speed, or survivability.

Anomalous Onslaught (Skill 2)

This single-target skill deals 4 hits of 70% damage.

  • The first 3 hits each have a 30% chance to set back the target’s strike prep by 25%, and
  • The final hit has a 60% chance to extend all of the target’s debuffs by 1 turn. This is an incredible tool in debuff-heavy comps, letting RC-77 amplify control duration.

Complete Overwrite (Skill 3)

RC-77 attacks one target for 120% damage with a 65% chance to stun, followed by an AoE of 3 hits at 90% each.

  • Each AoE hit has a 45% chance to apply both Attack Break (−40% ATK) and Defense Break (−60% DEF).This dual-layered offense/defense swing is great for bossing or PvP, especially when paired with damage dealers who follow up.

Skill Investment Order

Priority Order: Skill 3 → Skill 2 → Skill 1

Skill 3 – Complete Overwrite

  • Level 1: Increases Stun chance to 65%
  • Level 2: Boosts Attack Break/Defense Break chance to 45%
  • Level 3: Boosts AoE damage multiplier to 90%
  • Level 4: Reduces skill cooldown by 1 turn

This should be your first upgrade priority—it delivers huge control and AoE value.

Skill 2 – Anomalous Onslaught

  • Level 1: Strike prep setback chance increased to 30%
  • Level 2: Damage increased to 70%
  • Level 3: Debuff extension chance raised to 60%
  • Level 4: Reduces cooldown by 1 turn

Maxing this second ensures smoother control cycles and sets up extended debuff uptime.

Skill 1 – Serpent Bite

  • Levels increase damage (up to 120%) and extend Accuracy Up duration to 2 turns with a 50% chance.

This can wait until last, but having consistent access to Accuracy Up improves flexibility in builds.
