Should you Reset Lian in Etheria: Restart?

In the early progression stages of Etheria: Restart, Lian is one of the best free characters to invest in. She’s easily accessible, fits into many early teams, and plays a major role in completing core content like Terrormaton.

However, as your account matures, there comes a point where resetting her becomes a strategic choice. This article explains why and when you should consider resetting Lian, and why Rilmocha is a strong candidate for reinvestment.

Lian plays a key role in early game progression thanks to her consistent AoE damage, turn meter control, and solid scaling with early Shell and Module gear. She’s also heavily featured in the Hyperlink Charter missions, which means leveling her up, promoting her, and skilling her helps unlock key milestone rewards like gems, upgrade materials, and energy refills.

Additionally, she helps players reliably clear Terrormaton 1–3 and contributes well in early Arena, Ember Trek, and PvE farming stages.

Investing in her initially is a great way to push through early content and start building your account.

Once you’ve completed the core Terrormaton and Chronicle missions, and you’ve reached a point where you’re farming higher-tier content like DokiDoki or high-difficulty union bosses, Lian’s value begins to taper off—especially if you’re shifting to colour-counter teams or more specialized DPS units.

At this point, using the free reconfiguration event to reset Lian allows you to recover all her skill upgrades, Shell enhancements, and level investments. You’ll be able to reinvest those valuable materials into another DPS or utility unit more aligned with your current goals.

Resetting Lian and reinvesting in Rilmocha also opens up elemental diversity, giving your account broader coverage for more game modes. You can still keep Lian around as a flex pick in RTA while relying on a higher-invested Rilmocha for your primary DPS needs.
