Best Animus for PvP

If you’ve been keeping a close eye on Etheria: Restart, you’ll know that the competitive PvP scene just hit a new high during the recent Invitational and livestream tier list reveal. The community came together to rank every single character in the game based on their PvP performance during Closed Beta Test 4 (CBT4), and let’s just say—it was wild. From surprise bans to game-changing buffs, we got a firsthand look at what truly dominates in the current meta.

So whether you’re climbing the RTA ladder or prepping for classic arena, here’s your go-to guide on the top-tier units and why they’re so powerful.

Triple S Tier: The Meta Dominators

Let’s start with the cream of the crop—these are the units that not only shaped the tournament but were consistent ban targets for good reason.

Veronika

An absolute menace. Veronica started off under the radar but quickly became one of the most pre-banned units. Her ability to steal and redistribute buffs—like Beyontin’s unique revive buff—is just busted. Not only did she steal a revive in one match, she gave it to her whole team. Shielding, attack break, utility—you name it. Veronica’s toolkit is PvP gold.

Tiamat

This support-tank hybrid completely shifts fights with her AOE taunt, massive shields, and Dragon Mother form. If left unchecked, she turns fights on their head, maintaining control and pressure with every rotation.

Helkid

The Shroud Barrier is what makes Hell Kid absolutely cracked. It grants massive shielding and built-in immunity, making him a nightmare to burst down. And if you slap a defense break on his target, he’ll delete them with insane damage. Yes, he’s counterable, but it doesn’t take away from his oppressive dominance.

Beyontin

AOE revives? Strike prep push? Attack and crit damage buffs for the whole team? Beyontin brings everything you want in a top-tier support. She’s also got cooldown reduction baked into her kit, making her a consistent threat and a priority ban in many matches.

Rahu

Tanky, deadly, and harder-hitting the longer the fight goes. Rahu scales off defense, dishes out big crits on his skill one, and stacks “Wrath” to build both offense and utility. With a team-wide defense buff, he fits into almost every comp in the current meta.

Obol

DT (damage over time) king. Obol’s ability to convert buffs into damage and stun lock enemies was key during the Invitational. Built on the Codex Magic set, he used his skill three twice in a row—absolutely disgusting (in the best way).

Kraken

One of the few hard crowd-control monsters in the game. His freeze mechanic is brutal—preventing units from gaining strike prep while locked down. If you hit zero strike prep against him? You’re frozen again. He controls the pace of battle like no one else.

Lily

Lily’s Twin Trick mechanic resets ally cooldowns, pushes strike prep, and extends enemy cooldowns. Combined with decent AOE damage and utility on every skill, she’s still one of the best support picks available.

DokiDoki

Speed, strike prep, cleanse—DokiDoki is the ultimate enabler. Her backup passive purges all debuffs when she consumes a stack, making her a hard counter to DOT-focused comps. She’s a major reason dot cleaves aren’t taking over the meta.

Sania

Sania’s durability is what sets her apart. With all-protection stacks that increase max HP and can’t be dispelled, paired with revival and healing, she’s a rock-solid core for any sustain-focused comp.

Hoyan

Easily the hardest-hitting unit in the tournament. Hoan has death prevention, defense ignore, and permanent attack scaling on kills. If she deletes someone, she gets even stronger—and she cannot be ignored.

Heinrich

Anti-heal, buff block, and crazy scaling. Hinrich was a standout damage dealer in the tournament. His synergy and consistency earned him a well-deserved Trip S ranking.

Celince

Celince brings anti-passive control, shields, and reflects with her Aqua Shield. She’s an annoying wall that turns damage back on attackers while increasing your team’s resistances. A DOT player’s worst nightmare.

Lilith, Lingluo, Kloss

While more situational, these units held their own. Lilith’s detonation playstyle is deadly if there’s no immunity. Lingluo provides purifying support and healing, perfect for 1-star comps. Kloss works when she lands her redistributing strike prep, but struggles into immunity-heavy teams.

Dorothy the Wisher (SR)

Don’t sleep on SRs—Dorothy shocked everyone with her crit support, AoE lifesteal, strike prep push, and debuff cleanse. She adds serious tempo and sustain to any comp. An MVP budget pick.

Double S Tier: Powerful Alternatives

Not everyone can pull a full team of Trip S monsters, and that’s where Double S picks shine.

Dinah

Defense break and vulnerability for burst setups.

Viper

One of the best dispellers, especially for countering meta buffs.

Xiada

Soul Flame scaling leads to insane burst, but requires ramp-up.

Massiah

Strong cleaver with invincibility, just less consistent in today’s meta.

Chiaki the Echo

Pushes strike prep and grants anti-manipulation buffs.

Gray

Crit rate buff and defense break help round out offense-focused teams.

Rin

A defense-scaling tank with AOE taunt and attack down—perfect for pairing with units like Rahu.

Honorable Mentions and Underrated Picks

There’s a solid list of S and A tier units that still hold value, especially if you draft around them properly. Tsutomu’s buff blocking was surprisingly effective. RC-77’s debuff extensions and multi-utility make him an underrated gem. And units like Chiaki (Healer), Valerian, and Lian can still fit niche comps and surprise opponents.

B Tier and Beyond: The Rough Draft Zone

B-tier units often suffer from niche kits, selfish mechanics, or strict comp requirements. They aren’t useless—but they’re much harder to slot in efficiently. Some notable examples:

Khloros

Needs stacking support to shine.

Kazami Kazuyo

Great idea, but lacks supporting mechanics.

Fangas, Vice, No. 41

More PvE focused or underwhelming in PvP.

Final Thoughts: What This Means for You

Etheria: Restart’s PvP meta is shaping up to be incredibly dynamic. The variety of comps seen in CBT4 proves that strategy, drafting, and synergy matter just as much as raw stats. While Trip S units will always be high priority, there’s plenty of room to explore and counter-play—even with lower rarity heroes.

As the game heads toward its global launch, expect balance changes, new units, and meta shifts. But for now, this tier list offers a solid foundation to start building your PvP dream team.

Got a favorite underrated pick or a comp that’s been crushing it in CBT4?
