Diablo 2 Resurrected is Coming Soon

Diablo 2 originally was released back in June 2000 on PC, and it is now coming back to PC and consoles too. You will be able to play on Xbox, PlayStation, or Switch along with PC and carry your progression between the platforms using the same account.

Diablo II is getting a big overhaul during a new remaster. After some leaks surrounding the launch, Blizzard formally announced the release of Diablo II Resurrected at Blizzcon 2021.

The latest version of the game — that 1st launched back in 2000 — should launch later this year on PC, Switch, PS4, PS5, and Xbox Series X and S, with cross-progression between PC and console allowing you to take your gameplay on the move with the switch or just to the sofa with your console!

Diablo 2’s remaster is one of gaming’s most-requested remasters and after waiting for years, fans are excited to relive their memories of the game after the announcement at BlizzCon 2021.

Diablo 2 and its expansion pack Lord of Destruction will hopefully be available to play within the next few months.

Diablo 2 Resurrected will be available on PC, Xbox Series X, Xbox One, PS5, PS4 and Nintendo Switch for the very first time.

Blizzard is aiming to keep the feel of the original games and will add updated graphics and Dolby 7.1 surround sound. Players will be able to switch back and forth between the updated graphics and the original spite-based textures, just like in Halo: The Master Chief Collection.

Diablo II Announcement at BlizzCon 2021

The announcement comes at an unexpectedly busy time for the long-running action-RPG series. additionally, to the remaster of Diablo II, Blizzard is also building a mobile spinoff of the series with Diablo Immortal whilst also working on the next stage of the Diablo series, Diablo IV.

BlizzCon 2021 dropped the surprise reveal of a new-look Diablo 2 to tide over long-time fans and bring younger gamers up to date with the roots of the franchise ahead of its flashy new launch of Diablo IV later down the line.

BlizzCon is Blizzard’s annual community showcase, where the developers show and announce what’s happening next in the Blizzardverse. This year we saw updates on Diablo 4, Overwatch 2, a World of Warcraft Classic Burning Crusade update and, of course, that Diablo 2: The resurrected game we’re so worked up about.

They screwed up bigtime with Diablo 3 hence they getting back D2 the best version they ever released
