spacer

As of the next Doom Tower Rotation, starting Tuesday 6th April – things will finally get a bit of a shakeup with the addition of 2 new bosses! So it’s time to put your teams for Scarab and Frost Spider back in the vault!

While this information is very new and we do not know the order that these bosses will be in, nor the information on their stats YET, what we do know is their abilities! So let’s have a look a bit deeper into what’s in store for us in the next cycle!

Grythion

A1 – Shockwave

Attacks 1 Enemy. Has 100% chance of placing a [Fear] debuff for 1 turn.

A2 – Rock Smash [CD – 3 TURNS]

Transfers all debuffs from [Grythion] to each enemy, then attacks all enemies. Fills [Grythion]’s Turn Meter by 5% for each debuff transferred.

A3 – Death Gust [CD – 3 TURNS] Removes all buffs from all enemies, then attacks all enemies.
The buff removal cannot be resisted. Damage increases by 10% for each buff removed.
A4 – Divine Strike [Passive] Attacks an enemy whenever their HP drops below 50%. This attack places a 100% [Heal Reduction] debuff for 2 turns.

A5 – Celestial Bond [Passive] Adds one [Sky Bond] buff to [Grythion] at the start of each turn. Also adds one [Sky Bond] buff to [Grythion] whenever an enemy’s HP drops below 50%.

Each [Sky Bond] buff increases [Grythion]’s ATK by 5%, C.Rate by 3%, C.DMG by 5%, SPD by 2.5.

Will ignore [Shield], [Block Damage] and [Unkillable] buffs when [Grythion] has 10 or more [Sky Bond] buffs.

Can stack up to 20 [Sky Bond] buffs, [Sky Bond] buffs cannot be blocked or removed.

A6 – Fair Wind [Passive] Whenever [Grythion]’s Turn Meter is decreased, the Turn Meters of all enemies will be decreased by the same amount. Places a [Stun] debuff for 1 turn on enemies with fully depleted Turn Meters.
Whenever an enemy’s Turn Meter is filled, [Grythion]’s Turn Meter will be filled by the same amount. Turn Meter increases are traked and counted individually for each enemy.

A7 – Almighty Immunity [Passive] Immune to [Stun], [Freeze], [Sleep], [Provoke], [Block Cooldown Skills], [Fear] and [True Fear] debuffs. Also immune to HP exchange effects.

A8 – Almighty Tolerance [Passive] Decreases the damage taken from poison debuffs by 90%.
A9 – Almighty Strength [Passive] Damage from skills that scale based on enemy MAX HP cannot exceed 10% of the Boss’ MAX HP when attacking the Boss.
A10 – Almighty Persistance [Passive] All Turn Meter reduction effects are decreased by 50% when used against the boss.

Iragoth

Iragoth is not alone! He is joined in the fight with several other enemies, 2 Guard’s and 1 Priest.

Eternal Priest:

A1 – Bolt Strike

Places [Eternal Rage] buff on [Iragoth] for 2 turns if only one minion or no minions are summoned by this skill. This buff cannt be removed or blocked.
The [Eternal Rage] buff increases [Iragoth]’s SPD and causes [Iragoth] to ignore [Unkillable], [Block Damage], [Shield] buffs and ignore 50% of the target’s DEF when attacking.

Two things: 1) You’re missing Freeze from the (ridiculously long) list of things Iragoth is immune to. 2) Can you please do a video with a few different strategies for beating Iragoth? I don’t have any of the good cd reduction champs, and he has stopped me cold on hard mode.

OK, I _almost_ beat Irrgoth at the top of the Normal Tower with this team: Lillitu, Lyssandra, Warlord, Vogoth, and MM. I have not got enough HP on Vogoth’s gear yet… so this is a “Rope-a-Dope” strategy of sorts. i’ve noticed that you MUST be faster than Irrgoth, or it’s not going to be any easier. I’m a mid-Late Game player, so I don’t have quite all the toys, and have not tried Brogni as of yet in this comp… but I tried just nuking the damn dragon, and he nukes harder right back.

I had a decent time in the Brogni fusion… I ended up having to be a one-day whale, and bought the big void pack last weekend… I managed to get Brogni as a bonus… I pulled 2 Galas and ….Nekhret… so Plarium gave me brogni as the prize inside the cereal box for spending that much money on them… or that’s how it feels. but no tolerance for missing events to fuze is stupid.

Oh, I also pulled Anax as well… thanks for posting a video on him… I almost used him as food.

I would love more ideas on Iragoth. I’m all the way up to 120 hard and have tried so many comps. So many combos of Warlord, Basher, Drexthar, Doompriest, Scyl, Lydia, Psylar, Lugan, Rector Drath, Trunda, Sepulcher, and Iron Brago. Champs always built to go over 250 or at least go first with speed buff from Lydia. I’ve tried all passive healing with attack down, strengthen from Lyida, and HP burn. I’ve tried keeping the skills on reset with HP burn. I’ve tried killing the priests with Trunda instead of HP burn. I’m just not that close. Eventually my skills get blocked before I can cleanse the debuff and/or I get def down debuff and then it’s curtains. Maybe I just need to accept that 250 speed, 300 acc, 400 resist is not in my gear and give up? Maybe it will work if I break my UNM speed tune to get Sepulcher and Warlord rotating a block debuffs? I’m at a loss Hades, you are my only hope!

What do yall think of using Skimfos as a Griffon carry? Zero crit gear to minimize the tm deplete on his a3, but it would seem him and Sanguina are tailor made for that fight.

This video and post are very outdated. Please remove and add a video with strategies on how to beat these bosses.

Its not a 100% sound set up, but on Grythion I have been running a Siphi, Duchess, Altan, Septimus, and Astralon set, and it seems to be having some success, probably wins 50% of the time, but my strat is to pack it with a ton of revivers, and have at least one that can do damage based off of Enemy’s Max HP.

I switch Astralon for Minaya, aka another healer, and it seems to be a 100% win rate

Could we get some real guides on these bosses? Skills alone is a bit shy of the great strategy write ups/champ recs from the other 4 original bosses.

Budget team for Griffin, normal 90:
Reliquary – save her cleanse for nasty stuff/rez
Scyl – less acc to avoid a1 TM proc
Tayrel leader – use def down only after boss transfer buffs, no tm reduction
Kael – poisons
Apo – speed only after boss debuff you

To me the biggest pain in the ass in Doom Tower is that they have assigned 2 different names to every Boss.
I say just pick on and stick with it for Christ’s Sake.

Defeated normal 120 Iragoth with Sepulcher Sentinel (L), Dhukk, Miscreated Monster, Helior, Tuhanarak on auto. I let them kill the adds every time they were up.

i found out when you counterattack on Grythion (like with Valkyrie in team), you DO NOT get stun debuff on any of your counters when they drop Grythion turn meter down, soo it kinda nice to reduce the turn meter with that trick (think its a bug or something – but it helped me beat him anyway).
