EXCLUSIVE!!! Plarium announce a brand new MMO!!!

We’ve got some incredibly exciting news to bring to you today, exclusively from Plarium’s Headquarters, developers of Raid: Shadow Legends.

This was hinted at a while back in an interview with the previous CEO, where he revealed that they are working on a new project that is bigger in size and scope than Raid itself, in a completely different genre to what we’re used to with Plarium games.

What we know

Well, it has now been released to Hellhades exclusively to release some more information, it is going to be an MMO (massively multiplayer online) game that aims to compete with industry giants such as World of Warcraft.

Hellhades has just released a video with a sneak peek of the new MMO Game (which is all we have currently), and it is a very early mock-up so the quality is not perfected yet, it gives us a great idea of the visuals and gameplay mechanics that we can expect in the new game.

It has been confirmed in the information we’ve been given that the game will contain the Factions, Locations and Bosses already developed in RAID: Shadow Legends with an emphasis on the Lore Stories that we’ve seen released over the years of RAIDs development.

This is an incredibly good start and shows that a lot of things are in place for this game to be launched in the not-too-distant future.

Release Information

It is not yet known when the game will be released, we’re under the impression that more information will be released during the fourth anniversary of Raid Shadow Legends. Plarium intends to leverage its existing player base from Raid Shadow Legends to the new MMO game. This is a smart move, as it allows them to tap into an existing audience while also expanding their reach into a new genre.

The idea of Raid Shadow Legends developers creating an MMO game is intriguing, and it raises questions about the game’s potential success. The MMO genre is highly competitive, with games such as World of Warcraft and Final Fantasy XIV dominating the market. However, with Plarium’s experience in creating successful games and the popularity of Raid Shadow Legends, it is possible that they could make a splash in the MMO market.

Overall, the news of Plarium developing an MMO game is exciting for fans of RPG and multiplayer games. The footage shown in the video indicates that the game’s development is well underway, and we can expect more information about the game’s release in the near future. It remains to be seen if the game will be successful in the highly competitive MMO market, but Plarium’s experience and the popularity of Raid Shadow Legends bode well for the new game’s potential.

As someone who’s played niche MMOs like D&DOnline, Neverwinter, Guild Wars2, and the gorgeous Black Desert Online, I say good luck Plarium, you’ll need it. With titans WoW, FF# and ESO going strong, just how much market share do you think you can take?

It’s a decent-enough bare-bones demo, but how will you better the twitch-reaction fights of BDO, or make a crafting system that’s useful and elegant? How will you balance diehard fighters and peaceful crafters?

I started back in college with EQ1, got my wife in on it later, and we raided through several big-name MMOs up until we had kids. We joked that we got tired of LFG, so we took a break to make our own. We would LOVE to get back into MMO’s, some like RIFT are still going, but most are empty shells of what they were. It seems like the industry stagnated. I think the worst thing to happen to MMOs was WoW, as it became this giant magnet but stalled out any innovation and starved a lot of great competition. Nowdays games are staying far away from the classic “tank, healer, dps, support” model, which is a real shame. I’d love to see a solid MMO based on the classic model, but I don’t know if you could get any millennial or gen z buy-in. That said, those idiots dont have any money anyway, and all they do is cry about losing all the time. Might be OK focusing on the genX early retirees with ass tons of $.
