Halloween Fusion Event 2022!
Morrigaine has been dumped in Raid: Shadow Legends (quite literally)
Morrigaine is the newest fusion for Halloween 2022 and her skin is one of a kind, she has been tossed into a river with a rock attached to her foot so she can never see the light of day again, however, said rock has an encrypted passage on it probably warning us of her evilness.
Morrigaine’s Kit
Below is the reveal poster from Plarium that includes her full kit. Let’s find out where Plarium think Morrigaine should be played:
Morrigaine will be of great help in battles vs. both Bosses and Champions. With the A1, she attacks 1 enemy and places a Decrease SPD debuff on them. Having a reliable Decrease SPD on A1 is always great against Bosses like Iron Twins, Hydra, Doom Tower Bosses, etc.
Using the A2, Morrigaine steals all buffs from the target enemy and places a True Fear debuff on all enemies after. If the enemy is a Boss, she will place a Decrease ACC debuff instead. So, with this skill, Morrigaine can control PvE waves and deal with high ACC Bosses. Moreover, there’s no hit in this skill, so there’s no possibility of a weak hit.
Morrigaine’s A3 is all about SPD and Turn Meter fill. First, she decreases all enemies’ Turn Meters, then fills the Turn Meters of all allies and places an Increase SPD buff on them. If you don’t have a good Turn Meter filler for Arena, Morrigaine may fill this spot. In addition, you’ll be able to control waves of enemies just like Lyssandra or Deacon Armstrong do. You’re more than welcome to use this skill in Boss fights as well, but be cautious doing it against Bosses who punish you for Turn Meter manipulations. Again, no hits are needed to decrease the target’s Turn Meter with this skill.
With the help of her Passive, Morrigaine places a Heal Reduction debuff on the most injured enemy at the start of her each turn. This debuff is fully protected, meaning that neither your team nor the enemy team can do anything with it. It cannot be removed, prolonged, transferred, etc. This Passive can become very useful against teams with healers or against Bosses who are bound to heal or steal your Continuous Heal buffs.
On top of that, Morrigaine Increases Ally SPD in all Battles with her Aura.
What Type of Fusion will Morrigaine be?
Morrigaine will be a Traditional fusion. This type of event requires you to earn Rares from various events (calendar will be released on day 1 of the fusion event). You will then upgrade these rares to Rank 4 and fully ascend and fully level these champions. These are then fused to create 4 Epic champions. You will need to take these Epic champions to Rank 5, fully ascend and level to 50. It is from these 4 Epics that you then can fuse Morrigaine.
This model requires you to have sufficient ascension potions for the affinities of the epic/rare champions, chickens or rank 3/4 champions to upgrade your fusion champions and a pot of silver to make the fusion happen.
Each traditional fusion has new rares and epic champions and sometimes are worth keeping so keep an eye out for the champion reveals of these champions in the coming days.
Should I get her?
As with any fusion reveal, the poster gives us insights into the champion’s abilities and we can make assumptions about where we can play the new champion. However, it does often requires a hands on playtest to see how the skills work in reality especially where new and unique effects are taking place (such as her passive). Keep an eye out for more videos and playtests as opportunities arise but in the meantime check out HellHades initial reaction to the reveal in the video below.
In addition, we have created a champion guide with some initial ratings, masteries, blessings and other recommendations to help you make your decision. Check out Morrigaine’s Champion Guide here.
Please Note: The champion guide may be updated as more playtesting is carried out.
Let us know in the comments below – Are you going to fuse Morrigaine?
Mmmmm….okay. Hopefully the values by which she boosts and drops turn meters are large, otherwise she seems just decent. Certainly not the fragment event champ I was hoping for.
Alright well apparently I made this comment while they weren’t done making this page lol. Her numbers seem pretty decent but I was hoping they’d be a LITTLE bit higher, especially her speed aura. But still, she’s good enough I’ll be going for her.
Great for FW and TTA means a must fuse for my acc.
But what about current X10 champs? Mid or late game, stable 21 FW, Hydra, solo/duo 25 dungeons?
If skipping fusion may pull some shards and keep guaranteed-champ-reserve.
Hate having such a new account, going to have to miss this one too.
Hell, These Fusion events are horrible at best, Beginning and Mid-Game players cannot achieve the goal. I spent over $500 US and still was 7 prosecutor short.
I am at a point where I am just gonna delete the game. It is next to possible to advance without spending big money.
Hi mate, no need to delete! Im ftp and have finished every fusion except Lonatharil. It takes planning, diamond handling of shards, saving resources. But it is definitely not impossible by any means.
Im FTP, 120 days in. Did the Nogoryo and Mighty Ukko events however sat out the Maranix as was low on resources after Ukko. Probably could have done it but decided to just get 1 of the Epics for FW. Managed to save some resources up again so will likely be doing this fusion. It just takes planning. I failed on Walking Tomb and lonatharil as i was too early game and didnt have the resources yet but learnt how to do these events. Looking forward to this one actually
Low spender here, fused every single champ since Bivald, Spent money getting Bivald since I was clueless. Spent much less on Helicath. Since then it’s been “spend only if you want”, and that’s been the last two Bolster Forge Passes and the “5 Epic + 5 Lego tomes for $25” offer which was last week, all three had basically nothing to do with the fusions. Watch HellHades vids about fusions to see how we do it. It definitely can be done; takes pre-planning, relentlessness and willpower.
Looks like a cheap knockoff of Lyssandra… Velocimaster is 20% rather than 30% on Turn Meter Boost and Turn Meter Decrease and speed aura is 19% as compared to 24%. If I had Lyssandra I would ignore her, but since I don’t I will probably go for her. She looks like a VERY strong epic, or a weak to moderate legendary. With a Fragment champion I would not complain as much but for a fusion? sub-par.
I’d grab her just for the artwork, but I think the kit is worth it for me unless they make the required points completely absurd again.
Decrease speed on A1, aoe buff strip on her A2, turn meter decrease/boost on her A3? She’s a beast! Totally going for her.
A2 is single target buff strip. Fear is aoe though.
Her kit doesn’t look terrible but without fully booking her she appears to be only useful for quick battles.
Resources aside, with a full-time job and being a part-time student, these fusions just take up way too much time.
I think having a 19% speed aura on legendary is correct if there not a speed booster as that is not there archtype. For lyssandra and Morrigaine’s Kit i think it would be fitting to have a 24% speed aura even if it for only one area like doom tower
