How important is your first 6 star Champion?

A question commonly asked, and a mistake often seen in early game accounts, especially during periods where fresh accounts are big in the community – like now, with CF_Chosen’s Free to Play competition is – How many 50s should I have before I start focusing on 6 staring somebody.

The simple answer to this is none, 6 starring your starter Champion is vital to your game progression, above anything else, thinning out your roster by 5 starring countless viable and useful champions is not going to help you, it’s going to slow you down and halt your progress everywhere.

All too often we see accounts with 6 or 7 – 5 star champions with people asking help on how to progress further in the campaign and/or Dungeon content, but the resources that went into doing that would have been more than enough to take Kael or any other starter (you should pick Kael!) to 60 providing him with a huge stat boost, and the ability to access his final mastery tier.

All of the starting champions are able to clear all of the Normal, Hard, and Brutal Campaign with 3 stars in the correct gear setup at level 60 – and will provide a significant carry in all other early-game content for you, this is the FIRST milestone you should work towards and it should be your sole focus over anything else in the game until it is done.

Once you’ve done that, you can start funneling your attention into other supporting champions on your roster.
