Login Issues

Hey guys,

As I am sure you are aware there are some login issues to the site and optimiser today. We are working to resolve these, however, please hang tight until I get things up and running again.

I understand you are trying to access parts of the site and optimiser but 1,000 emails saying you cant log in will not speed it up haha!

Issue with login/regestering new users pulling member ranks through to the optimiser causing the site to get stuck in a loop…

I just had to disable the membership area of the site while I fix it, I’m not 100% sure how that impacts the optimiser but I will check – the site should be back to normal soon sorry about this…

the login server is still having a shit fit whenever I put it live so there actually isn’t any more to report outside of the fact that I am working on it and wont sleep until it is fixed…no ETA yet though hoping not long

For those expressing concerns in discord: The server was not hacked and even if it was everything is encrypted. The issue is with our plugin that handles membership – they seems to have made an update to it that the server does not like – I have the devs on it we even tried to patch it ourselves a moment ago but as you may have seen it worked for about 3mins before crashing again. The issue will be resolved but its in the source code of the plugin.

The main problem we have is that the opimiser verifies members through the website and with the website not being able to varify until we fix its basically stuck in a loop.

We have found the issue and are working to get things back up and running – we may have a quick solution that will allow existing members to continue using the optimiser as usual so I will update you if that works. In the meantime, I will continue to work on the overall issue.

We have found a workaround to allow existing members to continue to use the optimiser while we working on the login/signup on the site.

The rest of the team are sleeping so I am going to have to wait until the morning to hopefully apply the fix. Anyone currently a member can use their username and password to access the optimiser but new member signups are stuck for now I’m afraid :( gotta love freak IT issues!

Update: The Next Day

So, the services came back online around 2 hours ago and I have been monitoring the server, so far, so good. We are switching the premium features back on. I want to thank the amazing team that stepped up in the background to make sure we got this sorted, GFUEL for powering the solution and the 5,000 people that emailed in to ensure that the mail server was still working!

Fingers crossed, touch wood and all that stuff, it looks like we are out of the woods…
