October Fusion Announcement – Bambus Fourleaf

Spacer

Plarium has just announced the October 2023 Fusion, it’s time for the Bambus Fourleaf Fusion!

The Bambus Fourleaf Fusion will begin on Thursday, September 28th.

With this being a Traditional Fusion, we will have to worry about gathering Rare and Epic Champions unlike in Fragment Collectors, we will be completing Fusion Events and Fusion Tournaments to earn Rare Champions, which will be fused into Epic Champions, before fusing Bambus himself.

Name: Bambus Fourleaf
Faction: Skinwalkers
Rarity: Legendary
Type: Support
Affinity: Magic

Plarium’s Overview of Bambus:

Bambus Fourleaf is a pretty helpful Champion with some interesting mechanics down his Sleep. I meant to say “sleeve” Or did I?

He’s gonna shine bright in PvE content, especially battling the Mighty Hydra. But will come in handy in PvP content as well thanks to his ability to place an Enfeeble debuff, which makes him the first Champion of its kind.

And, boy oh boy, Bambus loves to sleep, and this opens up quite a potential for this fella thanks to how his Passive skill works.

But let’s dig deeper into his skillset. Shall we?

His A1 is a single-target attack with a condition to turn into the AoE one. Might be super cool when dealing with Bosses and when clearing the waves. And Decrease SPD debuff will be super helpful when dealing with Hydra.

With the A2, Bambus places a Shield buff on all allies for 2 turns. Which instantly becomes 3 turns as he increases the duration of all buffs on all allies for 1 turn. In the meantime, he decreases the duration of all enemy buffs by 1 turn even on a weak hit. That allows him to increase the value of Shield buffs on allies for each enemy buff that had its duration decreased.

Using the A3 allows Bambus to place Enfeeble debuff. And while it won’t work against Bosses, it’s gonna be quite handy when dealing with waves in Dungeons and Doom Tower. And let’s mention Arena as well. As it might help to eliminate the opponent’s Damage Dealer.

Accompanied by a few other useful buffs like Increase ACC and Increase ATK, it makes it helpful against high RES teams on Arena or when dealing with some Bosses. Moreover, Bambus can also place Decrease ACC debuff with this skill improves our chances to avoid debuffs ourselves.

And, yeah, Bambus falls asleep each time. But that kinda fits with his personality. And allows him to unlock the full potential of his cool Passive skill. Being under Sleep Debuff gives Bambus a chance to transfer any debuffs (with some exceptions) placed on an ally to him.

And if it happens that he collected all those debuffs and removed the Sleep debuff from himself with his Passive skill, Bambus transfers all the debuffs from himself to the enemy with the highest RES. And this effect cannot be resisted.

Finally, sleeping too much is paying off!

Just the skin makes him a must get, a cool and unique kit to go with that is amazing.

The passive ability is a little strange. If the debuff transfer only occurs when the sleep debuff is removed from the passive then it should rarely happen when he get attacked by enemys. So to cancel him out just attack him…
Some considerations in Combo Emic Taunt, Provoker to distract, Frenzy set 5% Tm for self sleep and any debuffs he receives Blessing Survival Instinct 5% – 10% Tm for self sleep and every Debuff
If two pandas with high res face each other then the debuffs will be transferred back and forth😅

Very interesting kit for sure. However, they called out hydra as an area where he will be very useful. I’m a little skeptical about that. Sure he might be decent but the only necessary debuff he brings is decrease speed. No provoke, block buffs, hex, decrease attack/defense, etc. His cleanse sounds like it will only work 50% of the time (nowhere near consistent enough for hydra), and the transfer will only happen if he wakes up at the start of his turn. So if anything hits him or damages him before he gets a turn (which will be very often in hydra) he is stuck with all of those debuffs on him. His shield is not the very good, although the buff extension is great. Plus if your block buffs champ is doing their job correctly the heads won’t have any buffs for him to decrease anyway, so that part of his kit will be mostly useless in hydra.
Overall, I think he is a good champ, but far away from being a great champ (although looks very cool). I will hold my decision as to whether or not I’ll go for him until I see a play test of him.

Thanks HH!
You are all great as always.

PS: It is not a big deal but the picture of part 2 cannot be expanded.

I have to say unless the sleep cannot be broken by damage, much like the boss doing much the same thing, this passive is not going to be useful. This would mean the champ is only going to doing its thing with other champs specifically brought in to support it, rendering it poor value IMO.

I must be blind, but can someone point me to what *Enfeeble* does precisely? Is it a single target -dps that stacks with -atk?

Pull debuffs for hydra is quite useless since it does pull fear, the most annoying one.
4 turn cooldowns.

It’s a great time to introduce an average skippable leggo Raid. I hoped to skip this month’s fusion due to Dragonheir and here we go.

Enfeeble forces all hits to be Weak so yes less damage but more importantly means any debuffs that depend on a proper hit landing first will fail. In this case it appears to be single target.

Thanks! Sounds interesting for arena but since it is removable then it has at most average value.

Have to say Nub Raids video of results on the test server make the panda look very good afterall. Placed last in the team & with maxed chance to counter-attack it was working very well indeed, shows how much I know!
