Dan / Phixion – HH Gaming Spotlight

Our team at HH Gaming has expanded so much over the last few years, and that’s a huge thank you to you, the community!

But with so many faces working both in the public eye and behind the scenes, we want to give you the opportunity to get a little closer to us personally and know exactly who is helping to produce the content you are taking in from our various creators’ YouTube Channels or the website!

In this spotlight, we’re going to be touching base with Phixion, otherwise known as Dan.

Who are you?

Dan

What do you do at HH Gaming? And How long have you been involved?

Favourite Piece of Content You’ve Produced

First game you remember playing, and how it shaped your love for gaming

The first PC game I remember playing was Castle Wolfenstein, but the game that truly ignited my passion for gaming was an MMO called The Myth of Soma. I played it for years, and it was my first real introduction to online communities that grew alongside the game itself. It even had a TV show airing in the UK on The Gaming Network TV channel, which felt like a precursor to the streaming platforms I love today, like Twitch. This experience laid the foundation for my appreciation of gaming culture and the power of gaming communities.

When and How did you get into RAID?

I got into Raid: Shadow Legends during the first COVID lockdown in early 2020. Before that, I had spent a couple of years playing Summoners War and decided to try to revive my old account. However, after struggling to remember my login details, I noticed Raid in the recommended section of the app store and decided to give it a shot. It was right around the time of the game’s first-ever battle pass, and the rest is history.

Favourite 3 Champions and why?

Yannica (my 1st legendary), Draco (just because of how hype it was pulling him) and Mountain King (Because he looks dope!)

Favourite Content Area in RAID?

My favorite aspect of Raid has always been the community. While the game itself is fun, it’s the events and connections that have truly kept me engaged. Over the years, hosting events like the Affinity Cup, the Raid Awards, numerous charity events, and some weird and wonderful livestreams have been the highlights. These experiences not only kept me playing but also fueled my passion for creating content around the game.

What do you do outside of gaming?

I run this little company you may have heard of?

What job did you want as a child?

I have always wanted to run my own businesses, I am not cut out to work for other people creating their dreams I like to create my own path.

One thing you’ve always wanted to do (but haven’t done)

I want to see more of the world. I have been very lucky with HH Gaming and Fateless to get to travel more than ever but I really want to see Asia along with some colder places like Iceland and Greenland. I love photography and although its great seeing other peoples pictures of these places, I want to create my own memories there too.

One thing you’ve DONE that you never imagined being able to do

We started a game company, I employ a bunch of amazing people, I work with the best friends I could ask for, I have traveled around the world, I get to play computer games for a living….take your pick.

What are you most proud of (but don’t get the chance to gloat about often)

This is a tough one for me because I truly appreciate everything we’ve achieved. I could easily mention things like the charity work we’ve done, losing weight and getting in shape, or starting a company that now turns over $1 million a year. But honestly, talking about those things feels like putting a pin in the journey—as if I’ve already reached the destination. The truth is, I’m most proud of staying committed to the process, knowing that we’re still on the journey and there’s so much more to accomplish. It’s the progress, not just the milestones, that I take pride in.

One piece of advice you’d give to aspiring content creators

One piece of advice I’d give to aspiring content creators is to surround yourself with amazing people and play to your strengths. Don’t hold back from creating content just because someone else is already doing it—your unique perspectives and ideas matter. People invest in personalities, not just facts. If you think you can’t put out a video or guide because a big creator beat you to it, you’re wrong. All that means is there’s a market for that content, and you should make the video. Also, shameless plug—I actually started a studio specifically to help content creators, so definitely check out MinMxD.com!

Simon’s Special Question: Are we living in a simulation?

No he’s weird.

Anything you’d like to add?

I’d like to take a moment to thank the amazing community and anyone taking the time out of their day to read this article. Too often, people focus on the big numbers and forget the one that truly matters. That’s you, the one single person reading this right now. Without you, we wouldn’t be where we are today, and for that, I’m incredibly grateful.
