Boughsmith Flannan Overview

This warrior is an elite Weaponsmith, although he’s famously known as the Boughsmith, as he infuses bark from the tree’s of Mistwood into his weaponry. Boughsmith Flannan is a Rare Defence champion residing from the Sylvan Watchers Faction.

This champion holds strong progression value for the Faction Wars & Fire Knight. This all comes down to a skills set revolved around speed manipulation, amplifying your teams accuracy by 25%, coinciding with a budget form of ally attack. Opening with the Shatter Knees [A2], this champion will place the 15% variation of the Decrease Speed debuff on all enemies. Traditionally we seek the 30% variation to slow down our foe, however if this champion is the one to place this debuff, you will unlock better values from his abilities. These come in the form of a 10% Turn Meter depletion instead of 5% on the A1, coinciding with a passive that grants a 50% chance for an extra turn when placing this on 3 or more enemies (this may have an interesting synergy for The Dark Fae).

As you’re progressing through Raid, having an Increase Accuracy buff can be extremely valuable to reach the stat thresholds required for specific areas. This is where Flannan will not only place the 25% variation of this, but will also team up with a random ally to attack a single target to help reduce those shield counters on the Fire Knight. This champion may not be the best Rare in the game, but if you’re seeking control in the early game, you may want to consider him until getting better options in the future!

Champions with the Cleanser role will use their skills to remove debuffs and keep them from being re-applied.

Champions with the Crowd Control role will use their skills to place soft (i.e. Provoke or Taunt) and hard (i.e Freeze or Stun) debuffs to disable enemy champions.

Damage

Champions with the Damage role will have skills that deal significant damage and are designed to defeat enemy champions.

Damage Absorption

Champions with the Damage Absorption role will have skills or effects that reduce the incoming damage your team takes. This can be through passive damage reduction or by applying skills such as Strengthen or Shields.

Healer

Champions with the Healer role will have skills that restore your champion's Health including Continuous Heals.

Debuffer

Champions with the Debuffer role will have skills that place debuffs that don't fall into Crowd Control or Skill Manipulator roles i.e. Decrease Defence. These champions may also have skills that remove Buffs.

Revive

Champions with the Revive role will have skills that bring your ally champions back from the dead including Revive on Death buffs.

Skill Manipulator

Champions with the Skill Manipulator role will have skills that increase enemy skill cooldowns or reduce your ally skill cooldowns.

Speed Manipulator

Champions with the Speed Manipulator role will have skills that affect the turn meter of your allies or enemies. This includes speed buffs and debuffs aswell as direct turn meter effects.
