Embrys The Anomaly

Rising from the underworld beneath the mighty Chimera is a legend thought to have perished on his quest to slay the mythical creature. Instead, Embrys defied death, immersing himself into the Chimera’s realm to uncover its secrets. Infused with the pulsing red tendrils that dominate this cursed domain, he gained the ancient power of metamorphosis. Now, Embrys has returned, wielding this newfound power to fight alongside his fellow revenants and to finish what he started…  Embrys the Anomaly is a Mythical champion, earned as the ultimate reward for defeating the new Clan Boss, the Chimera.

BASE FORM
In this form, Embrys focuses on debuffs and crowd control, converting positive effects on enemies into negative ones and places a new effect, Necrosis. When an enemy champion dies, a Necrosis stack is applied to all other enemies, with additional stacks added as more champions fall. These stacks deal 5% of the target’s MAX HP at the start of their turns, increasing by 5% per stack. Embrys’ passive activates Necrosis stacks at both the start and end of each turn, which can quickly deplete the affected targets HP. You cannot remove Necrosis unless you revive allies with each stack reducing for every alive revived making it a potentially deadly effect.

What makes Embrys particularly unique and extremely powerful in Arena is his ability to switch debuffs with The Unmaking (A3) Ability. The main feature is that he requires no accuracy to guarantee the removal of Stoneskin (unless you weak hit!) from enemies. The only thing capable of stopping this affect is Protected Buffs and Lightning Cage blessing making this an extremely potent ability to face. In addition he also has an A2 granting him an extra turn that can setup some fears.

ALTERNATE FORM
As this champion Metamorphs, Embrys becomes a tanky HP based damage dealer. He can still apply Necrosis in this form, and it enables his A1 to hit twice against affected targets, which can Block Revive. His A2 has an interesting dual mechanic: it deals double damage to champions when he has more accuracy than the target or it ignores 50% Defence when he has less accuracy than the target. Although both skills scale with Accuracy you largely want to avoid bringing Accuracy in your build as the ignore defence bonus is far more impactful and will allow you to push more raw HP/C.DMG.

His A3 is another unique feature, granting him permanent Ignore Defence of 10% with each use, up to a cap pf 50%. This will stack additively with other sources allowing you to ramp up to true damage with the right gear and area bonuses. This skill also fully heals him and restores destroyed HP against bosses or swaps HP with an enemy, which is highly effective in Arena or bosses like the Sand Devil. Combined with his passive, which reflects 50% of damage taken and surplus damage when killed, Embrys can cheat death putting him on 1HP and applying Revive on Death. The reflect also includes any excessive damage meaning the enemy is likely going to die as a result of any attack.
