Highmother Maud Overview

A herald of the Sacred Order residing in the highest halls of sanctity, the people of Teleria look to Highmother Maud for guidance in a times of darkness providing safety and protection for all those who follow her. Maud is exclusively available from Fragments acquired through the Fragment Trading system introduced in Patch 8.20.

If you ever wondered what would happen if you took Doompriest and gave the champion a Revive then you have Highmother Maud. Her Passive is what is most powerful, removing 1 debuff at random from all allies at the start of each turn. You also gain a continuous heal buff on the ally who’s current HP is the lowest in the team (or the Leader). This is perfect for dealing with any Clan Boss affinity issues, to deal with the Hydra Torment Head Fear debuffs or any scenario where you expect to take numerous debuffs which is found in many Doom Tower Bosses. She also brings an All Ally Revive, providing 50% HP and Turn meter when revived along with an Attack or Defence buff whichever is the highest stat on that champion. This is a solid revive although lacks a method of ensuring the champions stay alive for atleast 1 turn.

Her A2 is particular useful in removing buffs from enemies in arena or in hydra if you are not running block buffs all whilst extending the duration of buffs. She will form an a core aspect of any buff dependant team taking the place of champions such as Godseeker Aniri. Finally she continues to thrive with her Blessed Spear providing a 70% chance to place Decrease Attack on a single target all whilst providing Increase Attack to the ally with the highest Attack. This A1 is amazing for clan boss where you often will run a single High Attack champion in Block Damage/Unkillable team. Whilst it is not All Allies like Doompriest, the additional buff extension and single target decrease Attack gives her more power.

Highmother Maud will certainly be a Top Tier Clan Boss or Hydra champion and will also form a progression champion however we currently await information on how challenging it will be to acquire her!

Understanding Arena Roles

Champions normally form specific roles within an arena team. Our ratings define the roles that the champion fits and rates them on their ability to perform the roles. Below you can see a breakdown of all of our roles.

Cleanser

Champions with the Cleanser role will use their skills to remove debuffs and keep them from being re-applied.

Crowd Control

Champions with the Crowd Control role will use their skills to place soft (i.e. Provoke or Taunt) and hard (i.e Freeze or Stun) debuffs to disable enemy champions.

Damage

Champions with the Damage role will have skills that deal significant damage and are designed to defeat enemy champions.

Damage Absorption

Champions with the Damage Absorption role will have skills or effects that reduce the incoming damage your team takes. This can be through passive damage reduction or by applying skills such as Strengthen or Shields.

Healer

Champions with the Healer role will have skills that restore your champion's Health including Continuous Heals.

Debuffer

Champions with the Debuffer role will have skills that place debuffs that don't fall into Crowd Control or Skill Manipulator roles i.e. Decrease Defence. These champions may also have skills that remove Buffs.

Revive

Champions with the Revive role will have skills that bring your ally champions back from the dead including Revive on Death buffs.

Skill Manipulator

Champions with the Skill Manipulator role will have skills that increase enemy skill cooldowns or reduce your ally skill cooldowns.

Speed Manipulator

Champions with the Speed Manipulator role will have skills that affect the turn meter of your allies or enemies. This includes speed buffs and debuffs aswell as direct turn meter effects.
