The Do’s and Don’ts of Artifact Ascension – Raid Shadow Legends

With the release of another system in the game, of course, it comes with some silly mistakes, and as a community, there will be many of those made, so today we’re going to have a look at some of the biggest do’s and don’ts to help you navigate your way through this new feature in Raid Shadow Legends.

We know mistakes will happen, we’re only human, but giving everyone guidance from early doors allows us to help minimize those mistakes.

Don’t Waste Resources

This one seems like a given, but actually, it’s all too common when it comes to new features, people get excited to try them out and end up wasting precious resources, it is a huge mistake to waste oil upgrading items of poor quality.

Upgrading a bad item is just a waste, and eventually will end up sold, hold onto your Oil and only ascend items that you know are of high quality that will find themselves included in your core champion builds.

Be careful with boots

Whilst you may be instantly wanting to upgrade Speed boots with the Artifact Ascension, one very important thing to consider is that boots can roll extra speed, which Champions who are out of a Speed Tune will love, as it will just be a boost to their speed, but this could disrupt your teams if doing so throws out a speed tune, specifically in places such as Clan Boss.

However, for your Speed Booster, getting that extra Speed on a Speed boot could be incredibly handy, and as such, we would recommend upgrading a few 6* Speed set, Speed boots to level 1 of ascension, till you land the bonus speed, and then equipping this item on your Speed Booster.

Pick carefully what you upgrade

When you’re picking what to upgrade, there are a few key points to consider, first of all, try to upgrade items that are actually being used already on your Champions, as they will see the instant value and use, there’s little to no point at the start upgrading items that are not equipped because until you find a home for them, they’ll be resources that could improve your current Champions.

Upgrading the Top Row of artifacts (Weapons, Helmets, and Shields) is a lot less RNG heavy, as there’s less diversity in the bonus stat options, you are less likely to get a completely redundant stat for your build, however, there are less desirable stats on these items than the bottom row.

Take your time with upgrading

On the interface for Artifact Ascending, there is the option to instantly boost your item to higher levels, such as 3* or 6* – Do not do this at first, if you were to sink all your resources into taking an item to 3* blindly, and it rolls an incredibly undesirable Bonus stat, then you are wasting resources.

Take each item that you’re considering upgrading to 1* first, to see what the stat allocation is, at this point, IF it is something beneficial, you can upgrade it further.

We’d hate to see a perfect set of Critical Damage gloves being fully upgraded for a small boost in Flat DEF!

Don’t overcommit to farming ascensions early

It’s important to note that this dungeon is incredibly hard, and starting to farm it in hope of ascending your artifacts early because it’s simply not going to happen.

It’s also completely pointless wasting energy farming this if your artifacts are not in a situation where they’d benefit from being upgraded, as we mentioned above you do not want to waste oil on upgrading bad artifacts.

Your energy would be much better spent farming better artifacts and progressing your account, as they will instantly help you.
