How to Obtain Ninja

Existing players can get Ninja by logging in for five days between July 18th and August 15th. New players can use the promo code “ninjareturns”. This guide covers everything you need to know about Ninja, ensuring you’re ready to maximize his potential.

Skills Overview

Shatterbolt – Attacks 1 enemy. Has a 45% chance of placing a 60% [Decrease DEF] debuff for 2 turns. Also fills this Champion’s Turn Meter by 15% when used against Bosses.

Hailburn – Attacks 3 times at random. Each hit has a 75% chance of placing a [HP Burn] debuff for 3 turns. Also places a [Perfect Veil] buff on this Champion for 2 turns. When used against Bosses, will instantly activate any [HP Burn] debuffs, including [HP Burn] debuffs placed by this Skill.

Cyan Slash – Attacks all enemies. Has a 75% chance of placing a [Freeze] debuff for 1 turn. When targeting a Boss, will only attack the Boss (not all enemies) and will ignore 50% of the target’s DEF. Will also decrease the cooldown of the Hailburn skill by 1 turn.

Escalation [P] – Increases Ninja’s ATK by 10% (up to 100%) and C. DMG by 5% (up to 25%) each time a single enemy is hit by all three of Ninja’s Active Skills in a single Round. This effect can occur multiple times against the same enemy. When fighting Bosses, will increase Ninja’s ATK by 20% (up to 100%) and C. DMG by 10% (up to 25%) instead.

Optimal Build

Nubs highlights Affinity Breaker as one of the best sets for Ninja, especially post-buff, offering a 50% chance to convert a weak hit to a critical hit. This set is crucial for fighting Force Affinity bosses, allowing Ninja to place burns more consistently. Other viable sets include Relentless and Merciless, with the latter being particularly effective in Hydra battles.

Key Stats

  • Speed: Around 230 for general use, with adjustments depending on specific team compositions, this will need to be adjusted for specific tunes, such as the Bateater Clan Boss team.
  • Accuracy: 500 for high-level content.

Damage Stats: Critical Rate, Critical Damage and Attack are a luxury, a large portion of Ninja’s damage will come from his debuff damage, and should be prioritised, but with strong gear you can hit a perfect blend of all of these stats!

Masteries can vary, but Nubs suggests Warmaster for general use or Eagle Eye if additional accuracy is needed.

Performance in Key Game Modes

  1. Demon Lord Clan Boss (Affinity Breaker will improve consistency on Force):
    • Bateater Team: Ninja can achieve significant damage with the right speed tunes.
    • Wixell Team: Utilizing Wixell for shields, Ninja contributes to a robust unkillable setup, capable of dealing 149.95 million damage in ideal conditions.
  2. Sand Devil’s Necropolis (Stage 25):
    • Godseeker + Ninja Duo: With recent boss nerfs, this team is more accessible, making use of Godseeker’s revives to reset Ninja’s cooldowns. With an Affinity Breaker build, stage 25 is very viable, without this, Stage 24 will be your best option due to run consistency.
  3. Phantom Shogun’s Grove:
    • Speed Tune Adjustments: Despite changes in speed tune requirements, Ninja performs effectively, dealing substantial damage to the boss with his multi-hit skills, paired with blessings this is incredibly effective for dropping the boss’s Shade Counter.
  4. Iron Twins Fortress (Affinity Breaker for Force to improve consistency):
    • Support Team: Ninja excels with a team focused on survivability, utilizing burns to whittle down the boss’s HP efficiently.

Ninja in Hydra Battles

While Ninja may not be the top-tier choice for Hydra, he is a solid damage dealer on his own, but once paired with Lady Mikage for increased attack and crit damage, Ninja becomes a truly top-tier choice. Combined with a six-piece Merciless set, this synergy allows Ninja to dish out significant damage. However, players should note that Ninja’s effectiveness in Hydra depends heavily on proper team composition and gear optimization.

Final Thoughts

Ninja proves to be a versatile and powerful champion, excelling in various game modes, especially with the right builds and team compositions. His reintroduction to Raid: Shadow Legends offers players a valuable asset for both PvE and PvP content. By leveraging his strengths and optimizing his gear, players can maximize Ninja’s potential and gain a significant edge in their gameplay.
