In Raid Shadow Legends, books are used to upgrade your Champions skills, this enhances your Champions in various ways, either increased damage/heaing, increased chance to land effects, or reduced cooldowns for certain skills.

While some of these are only available once, there are some that are farmable at least monthly. However, books are very hard to come by resource, and the fact that there is no set way to “farm” these causes huge frustration, as at times you can go weeks without seeing any!
How do you apply books to your champions in raid shadow legends?
To apply books, you go to the tavern, inside the tavern there is a section on the right-hand side that is called Upgrade Skills. From this section, select the Champion whose skills you would like to upgrade – and place the relevant book type into them, if you’re only gunning for a specific ability, we recommend doing this bit by bit instead of shovelling as many books as you can into them, as you may end up wasting important books.
Why you should be very careful to not waste books in raid shadow legends
The main reason for being incredibly careful with not wasting your legendary books is because as mentioned above they are incredibly hard to come by. Many people waste books by making silly mistakes such as using higher quality skill books than the champion that they are upgrading – NEVER DO THIS! Even if you’re account is very low on legendries, you have a few legendary books lying around while upgrading an Epic Champion – a time WILL come where you are desperately hunting for Legendary books with none in sight!

So since these are the ONLY ways to get books I’m pretty sure it did :)

The topic says where you can farm books, but not what’s the best way.
Literally, every place you can get a book for free, is the best place to farm them. They are the most scarce resource in the game.
But the primary/repeatable source is Clanboss, high as you can go, which is why CB team should be #1 priority till you can get the top chest in both UNM and NM every day.
The best place to get books is clan boss Ultra Nightmare. You can get between 1-10 legendary books per month and 4-20 epics books just depending on how lucky you are with drops. If can can farm NM clan boss as well you can easily add a few more to those totals. While it wildly random in the amount it has the most potential.
For me the next best option is Doomtower. On hard you can generally pick up 2-3 legendary books and 3-5 epic books between hard and normal difficulties per rotation. of course this requires a pretty strong roster and much stronger than whats required for UNM/NM clan boss.
The rest:
Dailies after 270 give one epic book per month-meh
Tag Arena gives 1 epic and 1 legendary per month but requires a very robust roster
Advanced Quests- 1 epic and legendary book per month
FW-if you are looking to progress to the third boss then each boss will drop 1 leggo book but the rewards for stars also gives legendary books, I found this to be a massive boost in books when I was chasing Lydia.
Arena Chests: maybe a book or two per month if you are lucky-rates are awful.

That said, HH was accurate, but not specific enough on the topic, as BWOL has mentioned, which got some undue attitude back on.
Be nice if they introduced that tower in the Dungeons map as like an Ethereal Library or something, similar build to other dungeons but instead giving a chance to get a book as a completion reward, or random potions or silver (Like stages 1-10 are rare books, 11-19 are epics and 20 being a legendary chance, drop rates increasing with level). Though in saying that, I think Plarium want it to be hard AF to max out your champions – it is seemingly all about the time spent in game.
I must missing something with skill times.
When I select a champion that is fully booked I have spare books to use, however when I go to another champion that needs books, no books show, are they hero specific when acquired?
