The Wixwell Path Event is now live, giving players a chance to earn Wixwell’s Souls. Additionally, there’s a selection of other Wixwell-themed items including an Avatar, and Mythical and Legendary Skill Tomes on offer.

This is also a good chance to pick up other resources ranging from Silver to Chaos Dust, Oil, and more.

As usual with this kind of Event, you’ll need to earn Key Coins to unlock each stage of the Path. This time around, you can earn Key Coins by:

• Summoning Champions
• Upgrading Champions

This event is best done through summoning with Shards. You can then offset any additional points through training. Whilst you can complete the event entirely with Champion training, this will cost much more time and energy than the Shard route.

So, which path should you choose? Let’s take a look.

There are essentially three paths available: two side that paths lead to Event Keys, and a third, central path, that leads to Wixwell’s Souls.

You’ll need five Event Keys to unlock the central path. There are four Event Keys available on each side route, meaning you’ll have to clear at least one side path all the way down.

Here’s a breakdown in terms of total Key Coin cost to reach the first Event Key and Wixwell’s Souls:

• 21,500 to clear the path to the first Event Key
• 26,500 to unlock the 3-star Soul
• 36,000 to unlock the 4-star Soul
• 87,300 to unlock the 5-star Soul

Unless you have a large amount of Sacred Shards already, you’ll likely need to spend real money to buy more. Sacred Shards provide 4,500 event points per Shard when you summon a Champion – the highest possible amount you can gain for an event activity.

This event could be good if:

• You have plenty of spare Sacred Shards (or don’t mind buying more with real money)
• You’re interested in the weekend Summon event
• You have Wixwell and want the Souls

If all these are a yes, then you should be able to make the points needed by summoning then upgrading Champions without too much hassle. Check out this video on how to level your Champions efficiently.

That said, given there are plenty of other good rewards including Legendary Skill Tomes, using this event to stock up on some rare items is another perfectly viable (and potentially less costly) approach.

It’s also worth noting that Wixwell’s Souls might not be that important, depending on what content you plan to run with him.

Having the 4-Star Soul could be helpful for both Hydra and Clan Boss, but even then it might not be a game-changer, as HellHades discusses in his video below.
