2x Primal Shard Event Returns on March 20
Plarium is launching a 2x Primal Shard event on Friday, March 20. For 72 hours, players will get boosted rates for Epic, Legendary, and Mythical Champions from Primal Shards.
This is one of the strongest summon windows available. Primal Shards are still the only way to pull Mythical Champions, so any boost to their rates has real value.
Why This Event Matters
A normal summon event can be easy to skip. This one stands out.
A 2x boost improves your odds across every rarity in the pool. That means better chances at Epics for progression, stronger odds at Legendaries, and your best shot at a Mythical.
Mythicals sit at the top of the power curve. Even weaker ones often outperform most of the roster. A top-tier Mythical can improve Arena teams, boss runs, and wave clearing at the same time.
There is another factor here. We just had a Champion Chase, and now another one arrives right after. Back-to-back Champion Chase events are rare. The timing lines up with the anniversary period, which makes this event feel more deliberate.
The Best Time to Pull Primal Shards

For most accounts, this is the best time to pull Primal Shards.
You are not chasing one specific champion. You are boosting your odds across the entire pool. That gives every shard more value.
Most players do not have many Mythicals. Most do not have many Primals either. That makes broad value more important than niche targeting. A 2x event gives you the highest chance to improve your account with each pull.
RNG still plays a role. You can miss even with boosted rates. Yet this is still the point where your shards are worth the most.
The One Reason to Save
There is one strong reason to hold your shards.
Primal Shards can help with Summon Rush and Titan events. Players who manage tight resources often need shards for those events.
If you spend everything now, you may struggle in upcoming fusions or event chains.
So the decision comes down to account economy.
- If you have spare shards, this is a great time to pull
- If your resources are limited, keep some in reserve
Mythicals Are in a Strong Spot
Mythical balance looks better than before.
There are still top-tier options and a few weaker picks. Even so, most Mythicals bring strong value. A lower-ranked Mythical is still better than most Legendaries in many cases.
That makes this event less risky. You are not only chasing one or two champions. Many pulls can still help your account.
There is future value as well. Some weaker Mythicals are likely to receive buffs. Others may gain value in new content with faction limits or new mechanics.
Should You Pull?
For most players, yes.
This is the strongest type of Primal event. The rates are boosted across all rarities, and the event runs for 72 hours, which gives time to plan.
The chance of pulling a high-impact champion is higher than usual. That is the main reason to save Primal Shards in the first place.
The only reason to skip is resource pressure. Players who need shards for future events may hold back. Everyone else should view this as a key opportunity.
