Artak is our newest Free Legendary and here is his Guide and how to build him!
First things first who is Artak?
Before we get to Artak’s Build and Guide we need to learn about him. We recently learned that Artak is Galek’s father and he is a warrior/Leader of the Orc Faction, this was from Galek’s Call of the Arbiter episode. We learned he is fearless and a merciless slayer who will stop at nothing to achieve his dreams and even fight to kill his own son. Now to the Artak Build and Guide!
Artak wields a Giant Axe and he sets it alight burning any foe that steps across his path!
Artak’s Skills:
Chaosrazor
Attacks all enemies. Has a 35% chance to extend the duration of any [HP Burn] debuffs on each target by 1 turn.
Level 2: Damage +10%
Level 3: Buff/Debuff Chance +5%
Level 4: Damage +10%
Level 5: Buff/Debuff Chance +5%
Dogs Of War – 4 Turn Cooldown
Attacks all enemies. Before attacking, instantly activates any [HP Burn] debuffs on each enemy. Has a 75% chance of placing a 50% [Decrease ATK] debuff on all enemies for 2 turns.
Level 2: Damage +10%
Level 3: Buff/Debuff Chance +10%
Level 4: Buff/Debuff Chance +15%
Level 5: Cooldown -1
Purifyre – 4 Turn Cooldown
Attacks all enemies 2 times. The first hit has a 75% chance of placing a [HP Burn] debuff on all enemies for 2 turns. Restores this Champion’s destroyed MAX HP by 10% for each [HP Burn] debuff placed by this skill. Heals this Champion by 5% of their MAX HP for each [HP Burn] debuff attempt blocked or resisted by the enemy team.
Level 2: Damage +10%
Level 3: Buff/Debuff Chance +10%
Level 4: Buff/Debuff Chance +15%
Level 5: Cooldown -1
Burning Blood [P]
Whenever a [HP Burn] debuff is activated, destroys this champions MAX HP by 5%. Stacks up to 50%.
Increases this Champion’s DMG, C. DMG, and DEF by 1% for each 1% of their destroyed MAX HP. Also increases this Champion’s SPD and RES by 2 for each 1% of their destroyed MAX HP.
Why is Artak so good?
Every ability he has is AOE, firstly that is huge as he can deal with waves very well and if you have good stun gear or Provoke then he will excel at wave clearing. His a1 extends the duration of HP Burns, this is good for Hydra especially paired with a Geomancer as you can extend his [HP Burn] and keep it up for longer also you can extend his own which we’ll get onto in a minute.
His a2 is also great for Hydra because it [activates HP Burns] before he attacks, this makes it affinity friendly and allows him to get some damage off. Then he has a chance to place a [Decrease ATK] debuff which is great as it drops their damage. This a2 can also be good for Clan boss because you need a [Decrease ATK] consistently.
His a3 is a double hitter, his first hit has a chance to place a [HP Burn] then he restores Destroyed HP for each HP Burn placed and heals if the burn isn’t placed.
His Passive Destroys his MAX HP whenever an HP Burn is activated, up to 50% but he increases his Crit DMG, DEF and DMG by 1% for each 1% lost. It also increase his speed by 2 for each 1% lost.
We know it’s a bit confusing but trust us he has potential!
How to Build Artak?
You are going to need a lot of HP! You need to remember his damage is calculated based on his HP. Plus you will probably want some Crit and Accuracy.
If you have a look at HellHades build, he manages to get over 100k HP, 100% Crit Rate and 245 Crit Damage which will go up after he loses some MAX HP. This is his MAXIMUM DAMAGE build!
The build below is more of an everyday build showing 87k HP, 380 Accuracy and 221 Speed. This is a much more realistic build!

Might want to change that screenshot then? He only has 87K HP, 20% crit rate and 149% crit damage there.
Yea that was his MAXIMUM Damage build, I needed to be more clear on that lol
