Bayek Joins Watcher of Realms

The Watcher of Realms x Assassin’s Creed crossover rolls on, and this time it’s Bayek of Siwa stepping onto the battlefield. As the original Hidden One from Assassin’s Creed Origins, Bayek’s whole identity is built around patience, precision, and a quiver that never seems to run dry.

Bayek arrives as a core DPS hero who excels in Anti-Air AoE environments, which makes him a natural counter to any fight stacked with airborne enemies or multiple waves of foes. Between his stockpiled Explosive Arrows and his signature Mark of Senu ability, he’s built to burst and execute his way through crowded battlefields.

Bayek is a core DPS hero who thrives against airborne enemy swarms and multi-wave battles. His unique Explosive Arrow mechanic lets him stockpile shots over time, then unleash a concentrated burst of damage when required.

His signature move comes from Senu, his eagle companion, who continuously marks enemies with Mark of Senu. Marked targets take extra damage from Bayek, and once their HP drops low enough, they’re instantly executed. That combination of AoE damage and clean-up makes him the optimal choice for Anti-Air AoE content, with the Immortal Codex Conquest Challenge against the Nightmare Legion Commander being a prime example of where he excels.

Bayek starts every fight with 5 Explosive Arrows in reserve, reloading more periodically over time. During his Ultimate, that reload speed doubles and he gains an extra arrow with every reload. Explosive Arrows themselves deal AoE damage and inflict Vulnerability.

Casting his Ultimate immediately grants him multiple Explosive Arrows targeting everything in range. While the Ultimate is active, every Explosive Arrow he fires actually fires twice in succession, with the first two hits pulling enemies toward the target and slowing them down. Useful for herding mobs into his AoE.

Senu continuously applying Mark of Senu to enemies and prioritizing airborne units first. During the Ultimate, she tags one extra target on top of that. Anything carrying the mark takes bonus damage from Bayek, and his Basic ATK fires an additional Explosive Arrow at every marked enemy in play. If a marked common enemy’s HP drops below a certain threshold when hit, they’re executed. His Anti-Air Bonus stacks on top of all this, dealing extra damage to airborne units and firing small explosive arrows at nearby enemies whenever an Explosive Arrow connects. Every target he hits with an Explosive Arrow also restores him extra Rage, keeping his Ultimate cycling steadily.

His Exclusive artifact, Amenhotep’s Bow, is the standout choice. It boosts his AoE damage and makes it so that when a enemy dies with the Mark of Senu, it deals AoE Piercing damage to nearby enemies too. In fights with lots of mobs, that execution effect can trigger constantly, giving his DPS a serious boost. Hand of Doom is a strong alternative, adding extra damage and granting bonus Penetration after enough kills. A buff Bayek can trigger quickly thanks to how often Mark of Senu executes enemies for him.

For gear, run a 2-Piece Warlord or Wicked Vengeance set with a 3-Piece Infernal Roar or Cataclysm. If earlier in the game go 2-Piece Calamity with 3-Piece The Insight for more utility. Prioritize ATK Bonus on the Bangle, ATK Bonus or ATK Spd. on the Amulet, and ATK Bonus or Crit. DMG on the Ring, with ATK Bonus, ATK Spd., Crit. DMG, and Crit. Rate rounding out your secondary stats.

His Awakened I restores Rage on every kill and reloads an extra Explosive Arrow whenever he kills an airborne enemy, speeding up his whole skill cycle. Awakened III is even better for sustained AoE, triggering the execution effect from Mark of Senu lets him fire an extra small explosive arrow the next time he shoots. That bonus arrow can trigger the execution effect all over again, snowballing his damage and execution frequency in the right fight.

Bayek is a great pick for Gear Raid III Stages 22-24 alongside Iovar, Ruen Hollow, Corven, and Vera, and he doubles as a strong Anti-Air DPS option in Arena, pairing well with Iovar, Count Dracula, Erlang Shen, and Diaochan. He’s also suited for Malrik’s Halls of Illusion – Heart of the Volcano, and he really shines in the Immortal Codex Conquest Challenge against the Nightmare Legion Commander, where a lineup of Aracha, Bayek, Lady Mina, and Akira makes the most of his execution potential.

Bayek brings a combination of patient resource stockpiling that erupts into relentless AoE damage, backed by a mark-and-execute loop that snowballs the longer a fight runs. Something we dont really see elsehwere in Watcher of Realms. Anyone dealing with waves of airborne enemies should have him on their shortlist.
