Call of Duty Zombies – The Reckoning Easter Egg Guide

Among the selection of BO6 Zombies maps, The Reckoning stands out with one of the most challenging and fun Easter Eggs. Featuring layered puzzles, multiple boss fights, and a choice driven finale. Below, we’ll guide you through each step with clear subheadings to keep you on track.

Getting Started – The First Clues

• Melee the mop bucket under the sprinkler at spawn, then walk through the metal detectors to trigger the sprinklers and fill it (you’ll return here later to wash a key item).
• Collect the syringe from the Mutant Research Lab (T1). Next to Fowler the Mangler.

Building Klaus

• Collect Klaus’s arms during special rounds by shooting them off Kommando Klaus enemies.
• Find Klaus’s legs around the Android Assembly, spawning either against the workbench, lying near the conveyor belt, or tucked beside the storage crates.
• As you finish rebuilding Klaus, continue with other steps until round 16 and lure the spawned Uber Klaus’s electric attack near the reassembled Klaus to power him up.
• Klaus will then need to be followed to the Dark Entity Containment (Under SAM) in the next round, starting the SAM Trial where you must kill zombies.
• Afterward, unlock the T2 Teleportation Lab portal, as detailed in the Fowler the Mangler section, or beforehand if you have the power to take down the Mangler earlier.

Powering the Particle Accelerator

• Head down to Sublevel 10 and activate the Particle Accelerator.
• Shoot all 12 Aetherium crystals on the coolant pipes to unlock access to the Pack a Punch machine.
• Jump into the beam to knock a corpse onto the floor, then collect the Blood Sample from it.

Unlocking the DNA Sequence

• In the lab, defeat the Geneticist to collect a Key Card.
• Open the chilled unit near PhD Flopper to secure a DNA vial.

The Periodic Table Lock

• Check the glitching monitors for two green highlighted words.
• Take the first letters, match them to their element symbols, and use the atomic number as your code. For example if the code is 48 – Input 048 into the keypad.
• Inside, weaken – but don’t kill – three crawler type zombies near the machine to begin charging the cyst. After that, repeat the process with three regular zombies, then collect the cyst once it’s fully charged.

Charging The Cyst

• Place the cyst beneath the three glowing mushroom growths in the Quantum Computing Lab.
• Avoid poison bursts until it’s fully powered.

Defeat Fowler The Mangler

• Defeat Fowler the Mangler in the research lab to earn the Mutant Injection. You can start this step by placing the Blood Sample, taken from the corpse, into the same station where you originally picked up the syringe.
• Head to the T2 Dark Entity Containment (Near SAM) and use the injection on the retinal scanner to unlock the T2 Teleportation Lab.

Initiating the Power Surge

• In T2 Dark Entity Containment trigger the Power Surge by hitting four consoles quickly. (The room where SAM is)
• We recommend grabbing Stamin-Up and PHD Flopper to make this rotation faster and smoother.
• Destroy the shield plates on the Uber Klaus shoulders that spawns in, then lure him onto the electrified plate.
• Then, defeat the Core Klaus inside. After the fight, interact with the orb to place the Cyst, which rewards you with the Gorgofex Wonder Weapon.

The Janus Console

• Buy Melee Macchiato, punch the Janus console (Quantum Computing Lab) to retrieve the brain, and rush it to the T2 Teleportation Lab before the timer runs out. (Portal near SAM)

The SAM File Puzzle

• Gather the four SAM Files from the Executive Suite and Director’s Office (3 can be found here).
• The other is found on the T2 Teleportation Lab desk, next to where Klaus is on the computer. (In the portal).
• Arrange them by date from earliest to latest to reveal a 4-digit passcode. The numbers shown next to each item name provide the digits you’ll need.
• Enter the code at the T2 Teleportation Lab computer to progress.

The Orb & Portal Crystals

• In Sublevel 10, complete the Vermin lockdown to charge the Gorgofex and gain a blue orb.
• Focus on the blue crawling zombies around the room to charge the orb more quickly, then clear out the remaining zombie mobs.
• Take the orb and hold your fire until you’re in the Teleportation Lab, then use the charged Gorgofex shot to shatter the crystals sealing the portal.

The Fungal Head Ritual

• In the Mutant Research Lab, aim a charged Gorgofex shot through the floor gap at the fungal spore to knock down the Fungal Head into the room below.
• Pick it up, and wash it in the mop bucket from spawn.
• You can either carry it while charging it with souls (by killing zombies) or leave it in the bucket to fill the soul box. Once it’s complete, place it into the portal you charged earlier with the Gorgofex.

Sealing the Deal – Aether Fragments

• Pick up the Vacuum Seal Devices around the map.
• Use them to trap the four floating purple Aether fragments.
• Insert all four fragments into the portal console – T2 Teleportation Lab
• This will trigger a lockdown where you must fight off zombies while switching the levers as they turn red. Turn all four levers green to end the lockdown.

Final Choice – Boss Fight

• With the portal complete, you’ll face a choice:
  • Fight S.A.M.
  • Or battle Uber Richtofen
• You’ll be taken through two sub levels. First, fill the soul box beside the three Aether containers.
• On the next floor, destroy the Aether crystals. This area also has the Wonderfizz and Crafting Table for any last minute prep.
• Defeat your chosen boss to complete the Easter Egg and unlock the ending. For your first run, we recommend choosing S.A.M., as she’s considered the easier fight. Focus on dodging her electric attacks (similar to Uber Klaus) and shooting her armored plates & eye until she falls.
• During the fight, SAM Trials also appear mid battle. Completing these will reward you with random perks to help in the fight.
