Chimera Trials Breakdown – RAID: Shadow Legends

One of the most interesting things about the launch of the Chimera Clan Boss, is the new Chimera Trials system, putting an exciting spin on the fight to give you extra rewards based on how you tackle the encounter.

There are various different trials (3 per form), each with 3 tiers: Easy, Normal and Hard – you must complete the previous level before the next one unlocks.

Each time you complete a trial, you will unlock rewards, a boost to your score in Chimera Clash, but the boss will also gain significant stat bonuses in its Ultimate Form.

This means that you have to find a balance between increasing your damage, and rewards, and not making the boss too hard so that you fail earlier than anticipated.

Some Trials are also harder to complete on higher difficulties, whilst the concept of them remains the same, the amount required to activate them varies – These will be marked in Green Text with the various values shown.

Ultimate Form Empowerment

As mentioned above, each trial that is completed will empower the Ultimate Form of the boss, making it harder to stay alive – they are as follows.

  • 1-3 Trials: Ignore [Unkillable] Buffs, ATK +5%
  • 4-6 Trials: Ignore [Block Damage] buffs, C.DMG +5%
  • 7-9 Trials: Ignore DEF 25%; C.RATE +5%
  • 10-12 Trials: Ignore DMG Reduction from anything, except buffs and debuffs, ATK +10%
  • 13-15 Trials: Ignore [Ally Protection] buffs, C.DMG +10%
  • 16-18 Trials: Ignore DEF 50%, C.RATE +10%
  • 19-21 Trials: Ignore [Strengthen] buffs, ATK +15%
  • 22-24 Trials: Ignore [Shield] buffs, C.DMG +15%

I made this google sheet to help people tracking what trails they can complete with which debuffs and buffs they need

What am I missing here? So far I got 2 lousy keys, burned through them rather fast, didn’t make it past the poison, now I wait for 6 days to get 2more? Do I got that right? Don’t understand!! How in the hell is anyone supposed to get anywhere with 2 battles a week???

obv best to practice your keys and get the best possible dmg output. also with all the testing going on. i would assume u would have waited and found a good combo for max dmg. maybe take a step back before you jump in without looking

Is there a points breakdown for each level (rewards)?

I have a clan quest to complete 9 trials on hard or higher. I used two keys and made it to the end both times on hard. It still didn’t give me credit though. What gives?

Which trials to pick up really depends on their corresponding rewards (differs each rotation). So it would be really helpful to have a place to show the rewards to each trial based on rotation.

Yes! Also looks like 2 trials that provide basalt and gemstones is most important ones and should be targeted each rotation. That mean you will need separate team for each rotation more or less to hit 3 main trials and achieve max damage with other bonus trials you able to cover

Does anyone have a source that shows the amount of damage needed to achieve the “damage chimera” portion of these trials? I haven’t been able to find it and I know it varies based on difficultly.
