Ezio della Notte Joins Watcher of Realms

The Watcher of Realms x Assassin’s Creed collaboration isn’t done with Ezio yet. This time it’s Ezio della Notte entering the playing field as a hooded incarnation of the master assassin. The original Ezio Auditore was about mobility and execution up close, Ezio della Notte takes a different approach entirely, building an army of phantom copies and lets them do the killing for him.

Ezio della Notte slots in as the core DPS of anti-air lineups, and it’s easy to see why once you dig into his kit. Between summoned Phantom Assassins, a recall-triggered AoE burst, and a periodic execution effect, he’s built to shred waves of airborne enemies without breaking a sweat.

Who Is Ezio della Notte?

Ezio della Notte is the core DPS of anti-air lineups, with exceptional anti-air AoE burst capabilities. His playstyle is built around two phases. Sustained damage from the Phantom Assassins he summons over the course of a fight, and a burst payoff when he recalls them all at once. On top of that, he periodically inflicts a DEF Reduction debuff and executes weakened enemies outright.

Whether you’re running him in a Chaotic lineup or a Piercer lineup, he delivers standout performance in Arena’s Anti-Air DPS Challenge, a role he’s practically built for.

Breaking Down His Skill Kit

When Ezio della Notte is deployed, he consumes some of his own HP to summon a Phantom Assassin. When enough enemies die within his Ultimate’s range, that summon effect triggers again, so fights with a lot of mobs, will naturally fuels more Phantom Assassins over time. These phantoms don’t take up deployment tiles, they inherit 100% of Ezio della Notte’s attributes, and they deal double damage to airborne units, meaning each one is essentially a additional copy of him fighting on your side.

The payoff comes when he casts his Ultimate. Casting it recalls every Phantom Assassin currently on the field to unleash Requiem of Shadow together, with each one firing multiple blast arrows that deal AoE Piercing damage, once again doubled again against airborne enemies. It’s a genuinely satisfying burst window, though the cost is all the Phantom Assassins disappear when the ultimate ends, so timing that recall for maximum value matters.

Outside of his Ultimate, he periodically unleashes a single burst of high AoE damage against multiple enemies in his Ultimate’s range that also inflicts DEF Reduction. Any non-Elite, non-Boss enemy caught in that blast with low enough HP gets executed on the spot. He also keeps his own Rage topped up, gaining it whenever a Phantom Assassin attacks or whenever he or one of his phantoms gets a kill. Allowing him to cycle back into his Ultimate quicker.

Gearing Ezio della Notte

Recommended Ezio Della Notte Artifacts

His Exclusive artifact, Heart of Darkness, is the obvious choice as it boosts his AoE damage, and every time he summons a Phantom Assassin, it also reduces the cooldown on Silent Covenant. So against large groups of airborne enemies, he can use his AoE burst faster and maintain uptime of his DEF Reduction. Hate’s Contagion is a solid alternative, further boosting his AoE damage whenever he hits multiple enemies at once, pushing them into execution range that much quicker.

For gear, run a 2-Piece Warlord or Wicked Vengeance set with a 3-Piece Soulbound Arcana, or if earlier in game, go 2-Piece Calamity with 3-Piece The Wisdom to get more utility out of the build. ATK Bonus is the top priority across Bangle, Amulet, and Ring, with ATK Bonus, Crit. Rate, Crit. DMG, and ATK Spd. filling out your secondary stats.

His Awaken III lets his Ultimate also inflict DEF Reduction and execute low-HP enemies, while every shot chips away at Silent Covenant’s cooldown. A big boost to both his AoE DPS and his ability to finish fights quickly. Awaken V pushes that further still, having his Ultimate and Silent Covenant deal extra damage to already weakened enemies, bringing them into execution range even more efficiently.

Where He Shines

Ezio Della Notte recommended lineup

Ezio della Notte is purpose-built for Arena’s Anti-Air DPS Challenge, where a lineup of Jezebelle, Ezio della Notte, Gretchen, Diaochan, and Count Dracula makes the most of his burst windows. He’s also a strong pick for the Immortal Codex Conquest Challenge against the Nightmare Legion Commander, teaming up with Aracha, Bayek, and Akira to clean up airborne threats.

Final Thoughts

Ezio della Notte takes the assassin fantasy in a different direction than his daylight counterpart. Less about darting through the crowd himself, more about commanding a small army of shadows to do it for him. For anyone building around anti-air content, he’s a hero worth prioritizing.
