Forge Pass is LIVE!!
Over the last 2 years, we’ve waited semi patiently for the second season of Battle Pass, well the time has finally come, to some extent!
Forge Pass has gone live today, and although it’s not quite what we would have imagined following up from the last Battle Pass, which gave us a host of goodies including a Legendary Champion, Wurlim Frostking.
The Forge Pass – Season 1 will be active for 4 weeks, and consists of 50 levels that we need to climb to get our rewards, to do this you will need to complete Daily and Weekly Challenges to get yourself Forge Pass experience, each level milestone has 2 rewards, one for the F2P Pass, and one that will cost you (The Gold Pass) – This will cost £17.99 / $19.99 – However there is a premium option that will allow you to bypass 25 levels worth of farming and instantly get half of the rewards.
The set available, Instinct is very questionable as if you are looking for speed, you are better using Speed sets, whereas if it’s a damage Champion you’re building – by missing out on Savage gear you are sacrificing too much when the speed is very unimportant in the current state of the arena, there is very rarely a situation that you will want to sacrifice one of these things in a single build.
Levelling the Forge pass is quite unforgivable and will require you to complete every single available daily and weekly quest to boost your level. Unfortunately, only paid passes will get benefits from the Weekly quests, As a Free to play player you may only do the daily quests for your experience.
As for the rewards, for many of the player base these are just outright not worth it, the only thing that is appealing is the Forge Pass Raid Boost, increasing your XP and Silver gain from all battles, the other potentially valuable item is the Chaos Ore.
Once you have purchased the pass you also Unlock an option to “Buy Levels” in quantities of 1 Level, 10 Levels or the entire lot of remaining Levels.

“All Levels” (from my current level 4) is $79.99 – not sure if this changes or not, seems like a pretty static looking price. Will update once I gain some levels.
Ok so, just hit level 10 and the price has now dropped to complete all levels to $62.99, no change before those 10 levels though.
It seems they priced it like their regular gear set. Basically buying the battle pass is like buying a set of 6 speed gear + a few goodies…
So it’s basically aimed at people who buy gear sets… who should be nobody…
If they want to do something for my gear, it’s time to do a makeover on the COMPLETELY obsolete champ leveling tool, the “Guardian Ring”. I say make it the “Geardian Ring”, add a sixth slot, make the thing round, i dunno, like a RING, and allow me to a piece of gear in each slot to level. I see so much more value in that. I can’t grind level gear like I can champs, so it’s value ADDED.
