Master Deck of Fate – Basim Ibn Ishaq
This Monday, February 16th, RAID: Shadow Legends is launching a Master Deck of Fate event featuring the Legendary Champion Basim Ibn Ishaq as the main reward.
During the 96-hour event, players will earn event points by:
- Summoning Souls from Soulstones
- Acquiring Artifacts and Accessories
Event Details
As you progress through this Deck of Fates Event, you’ll flip cards to uncover Basim Ibn Ishaq Champion Fragments, with a total of 100 fragments available across the deck.
Fragment Distribution
- 30 Fragments hidden under 10 Common (Green) Cards
- 40 Fragments hidden under 8 Rare (Blue) Cards
- 30 Fragments hidden under 3 Epic (Purple) Cards
Unlike some previous Deck events, you will not be able to pin a specific card rarity, meaning every flip comes with added risk and RNG.
With 100 fragments available in total, this event offers a full summon opportunity for Basim — but it will require smart resource management over the four-day window.
Is Basim worth going for?

If you have the resources available, Basim is absolutely worth serious consideration — especially if you care about PvP.
First, let’s be clear about what you’re getting. Basim isn’t a niche gimmick champion or a “maybe one day” vault project. He’s a self-sufficient PvP threat with:
- Real, scaling damage
- Built-in protection via Perfect Veil
- A rare and meta-relevant control debuff in Block Active Skills
- A passive that can outright steal games
Champions that combine damage, protection, and disruption in one kit tend to age well. Basim doesn’t rely on a specific partner to function, and he doesn’t crumble the moment a support gets banned in Live Arena. That independence alone makes him valuable in today’s PvP environment.
For PvP-Focused Players
If you’re active in Classic Arena, Live Arena, or pushing Platinum, Basim has strong long-term value. Block Active Skills shutting down key abilities — including Mythical form swaps — is not something many champions can replicate. Add in his ability to steal Stone Skin, Block Damage, or other premium buffs, and you have a champion who can create win conditions out of thin air.
He fits particularly well if:
- You like aggressive, tempo-based arena teams
- You already have buff strip or Stone Skin cracking tools
- You want another threat that forces awkward drafting in Live Arena
He’s not mandatory. But he is impactful.
For PvE-Focused Players
If your account is primarily PvE-driven, Basim becomes more “nice to have” than essential.
He can perform well in content where buffs and debuffs stack naturally — Hydra being the standout example due to buff interaction and scaling damage. However, he isn’t redefining Clan Boss, Dungeon speed runs, or boss mechanics in a way that justifies draining your entire stash if resources are tight.
For PvE-only accounts, he’s a luxury pickup — not a progression requirement.
Final Verdict
Basim isn’t a “skip everything and mortgage your account” champion.
But if you have the resources available and you enjoy PvP — especially Live Arena — he’s a very solid investment. His kit is cohesive, meta-relevant, and capable of stealing games in ways few champions can.
The real question isn’t “is he good?” It’s “Does your account need another dangerous, self-sustaining control nuker?”
If the answer is yes, Basim is worth going for.
