Mid-Week Summoning Event!

Could this be a huge trap?

Today Plarium made the following announcement:

Tomorrow (Tuesday 13 July) we’re planning to launch an Extra Legendary event for Sacred Shards. You’re already familiar with the mechanics, if you summon a Legendary Champion from a Sacred Shard during this event, you’ll get a different, extra one from that same Shard. It works only once per user per event. You won’t be charged Silver for the Extra Summon. Although keep in mind, the Extra Champion won’t be counted towards quests, Events, or Tournaments; and won’t reset your Mercy System counters. The event will be active for 48 hours.

This comes at a very strange time and could be a huge trap before the x10 next weekend, and Sacred x2 in 2 weeks’ time. So think wisely before you decide to chase this event.

My initial reaction when I saw HH tweet this out was that it felt like a bait to get people to pull their shards now instead of holding them for the 2x coming soon. Also interesting that it is the first of any kind of summon event that will take place while a CvC tourney is running.

I’m torn whether I want to pull any sacreds. On the one hand, I have been tracking my mercy count and I am at the point where my odds will start going up every pull, so it’s possible I could get lucky and land two legos quickly. On the other hand, the odds will still be lower than a 2x for my first few pulls. And with no other benefit to pulling shards aside from CvC points, I don’t know that it’s worth it for me. Good luck to anyone who decides to pull though!

I pulled 2 legends with my first sacred. Couldn’t have been luckier.
