Patch 11.60 Quality of Life Updates

Patch 11.60 is shaping up to be a strong quality-of-life update for RAID: Shadow Legends, with changes focused on saving time, improving Live Arena pacing, and reducing frustrating restrictions in Grim Forest and team setup systems.

Background Multi-Battles Get a Big Upgrade

Background Multi Battles

One of the standout changes in Update 11.60 is the expansion of Background Multi-Battles. Players will now be able to run Campaign, Dungeon, or Doom Tower background battles while actively playing both Cursed City and Grim Forest.

This is a major improvement for daily efficiency. Previously, players often had to choose between spending energy on farming content or using Grim Forest and Cursed City resources. Now those activities can overlap, making it much easier to clear daily tasks without sitting through multiple separate gameplay sessions.

An important detail is that Champions used in background battles will still remain available for Cursed City and Grim Forest. That removes a major restriction and opens up far more flexibility for roster management.

This doesn’t fully unlock simultaneous gameplay everywhere yet, but it is a significant step toward better multitasking systems in RAID.

Live Arena Improvements

Plarium is also targeting some of the biggest frustrations in Live Arena with a series of matchmaking and pacing changes.

Better Matchmaking

Seasonal matchmaking is being adjusted to reduce the frequency of extremely uneven fights. The goal is to pair players against opponents closer to their own rating instead of regularly facing players far above or below their level.

Another notable change is the reduced chance of repeatedly matching against the same opponent. Players who were recently faced will now receive a much lower priority in the queue.

This should help reduce both repetitive battles and some of the matchmaking abuse complaints players have raised in previous seasons.

Faster Battles

Long Live Arena fights are also getting shortened with several timer changes:

  • Maximum battle duration reduced from 20 minutes to 15 minutes
  • After 5 minutes, turn timers drop from 15 seconds to 10 seconds
  • After 10 minutes, turn timers drop further to 8 seconds

These changes are designed to prevent exhausting stall matches while keeping battles moving at a faster pace. The scaling timer system is especially interesting because it allows normal pacing early in a fight while speeding things up once battles drag on too long.

For players grinding Live Arena regularly, this could save a substantial amount of time over the course of a season.

Team Preset Improvements

Team setup is also becoming more convenient in Update 11.60.

Separate Team Presets are being added for various Dungeons, alongside a new option to save your current team directly into a preset slot.

This sounds simple, but it should remove a lot of menu management frustration when building teams for tournaments, faction-specific events, or specialized farming setups. Instead of manually rebuilding teams repeatedly, players will be able to save successful runs much more quickly.

Grim Forest Champion Lock Fix

Another welcome change affects Grim Forest deck management.

Currently, if Champions were assigned to a failed stage, they could become awkwardly locked into the deck system, making adjustments frustrating or even impossible in some situations.

Update 11.60 changes that by allowing players to swap Champions even if they were rolled into a stage they could not complete.

This especially helps newer players and anyone who accidentally trapped important Champions — including fusion rares — inside their Grim Forest decks.
