Raid Christmas Events! Gifts & Champions!
Plarium has released information this morning regarding their plans for the Christmas 2022 Events and Gifts, and the reception to them is going to go one way or another, let’s take a quick look at what’s in store for us in the coming day!
What events we will have?
As we announced yesterday, Plarium is holding a special Void x2 that will feature a 10x on one of the brand new Void Legendaries, which will run throughout the weekend, you can find our full information regarding this in our post from yesterday.
On top of these events, Plarium announced today that there will be a Champion Chase Tournament that will feature the first-place reward of a Champion, depending on your level this could be either an Epic or a Legendary Champion.
The reason events like this are so rough is that only 1% of the player base will end up receiving a reward, meaning 99% miss out, which hardly feels like “Festive Spirit”.
The first-place rewards are as follows:
Level 1-30 – Jinglehunter
Level 31-50 – Frostbringer
Level 51-70 – Gliseah Soulguide
Level 71-90 – Gurgoh the Augur
Level 91-100 – Tormin the Cold
2022 Free Christmas Gift
Whilst we don’t know the specifics yet, Plarium once again clarified that a FREE GIFT will be available in the In-game shop on December 24th, in previous years this has been quite a large gift including the likes of Sacred Shards, 5* Chickens, and Legendary books.
So be sure to keep your eyes peeled and be sure to claim this year’s free rewards!
Wow…another event that requires shards (largely)…great. I hope their free gift will at the very least help with this, or make up for the fact that at this point only heavy spenders will be pushing for this event.
If you are free to play or low spender, then you choose to be that way. These events are not designed for you, so just don’t participate. Those that put money into the game keep Plarium in business and in turn keep the game going. People that complain about the cost and spending money need to understand this and quit whining.
I am not an economist, but I would think that it is a poor practice to disenfranchise the marginal consumers. If all free-to-play or low-spending consumers have a potential to spend more, then why would it benefit a company to make them upset? It’s true that some aspects of free-to-play/pay-to-win models are not designed to engage with the least spenders, but it can’t always be like that, or your margins shrink.
Also, did you watch the video? I don’t think Hellhades is a free-to-play player, and mostly likely not a low spender, and he presents some opinions on why many players might be frustrated with the RAID economy.
They aren’t excluding anyone. There are F2P events, and whale events. Why is everyone upset that the whale prizes are bigger than the F2P prizes? Did you expect different? Are you asking that the events ONLY be for F2P?? I don’t understand the complaint.

I opened 100 Voids for the Summoning Event and had coal all the way. May the luck be with you after the tax that I paid!! I wish a merry Xmas to everyone!
Similarly, I used 30 voids – got only 1 dupe epic and 29 chickens.
I GOT A F**KING LEO! After around 1 year F2P I got my third void leggo from shards. This far I’ve gotten Yumeko, Teumesia and now Leo. Fastest 60 of my life, and will replace my Rae on Sunday when I have enough pots!

Sometimes you’re lucky and get those chaps, and other times you just see rare after rare and then some shitty epics followed by more crappy rares.
Yesterday, I DID GET LUCKY though! 20 voids and I got Georgid, following that I opened 3 ancients shards and got Gisela. Other times I’ve opened 100’s of shards (back when I could afford to spend money on this game), and it always seemed like I got nothing.
They should implement a holiday gifting system like MCOC has, really a nice setup. Also would be cool for a nice guaranteed champ, yeah it costs crystals, but perhaps for the holidays make it 1/2 the usual.
Would be funny if they had a ‘white elephant’ gift (marginally useful gift you didn’t really want), something like “Everyone’s next sacred is a guaranteed random legendary…. that you already have”, but don’t tell anyone and let people figure it out.
See, Plarium should hire me, I’d make it fun :)

The Free Gift is in this HH post’s
