Raid Confirms: New Clan Boss Incoming!
OG Deathknight stirred up excitement on X yesterday with a tweet mentioning a new threat is coming:
“Listen up Skeleton Crew – apparently, the Arbiter is rallying powerful Champions to her because of a new threat. Obviously, I got the call because I’m me! What do you think it could be?”
The community and content creators quickly began speculating, with many predicting that the highly anticipated new Clan Boss will arrive in the next major patch. Today, Raid confirmed the hype with an official video teaser on their socials! Here’s everything we’ve gathered so far from Raid’s social updates.
Raid’s Official Teaser!
Earlier today, Raid shared an official teaser video across their socials, unveiling a glimpse at the final Clan Boss joining the likes of the Hydra and Demon Lord. The video showcased red pulses and infectious tendrils in a haunting setting, though the boss itself remains shrouded in mystery. Here’s what Raid had to say so far:
Something Wicked Stirs In The Stormwind:
- Wastes, brought into being by the malignant will of the Knights Revenant. Now, only the greatest warriors of Teleria banded together will have a chance to stop this new threat. [Posted on socials]
A New Threat Rises:
- Deep in Teleria’s underbelly, beneath the Stormwind Wastes, a malignant beast of untold power has begun to stir. Only the truly brave, or truly foolish, would dare venture the underground and face the monster that awaits you. [Posted in game]
What Could the New Clan Boss Be?
With the limited details available, it’s tough to predict exactly what this new Clan Boss might bring. Speculation in the community suggests it could be a Chimera – a mythical three headed beast, typically featuring the heads of a lion, goat, and dragon, with a snake like tail. If true, this could introduce unique mechanics, such as battling different heads with varying abilities, adding a fresh challenge to Raid.
As for team size, we’ve seen 5 champions for Demon Lord and 6 for Hydra. Could this boss require an even larger roster, stick to the same formats, or introduce entirely new mechanics? It may even introduce faction based limitations on a rotation, requiring players to build new teams with different champions, much like Amius in the Cursed City.
