RAID: New Patch Chimera Nerf & Buffs
Raid: Shadow Legends has unveiled Update 10.55, and it delivers significant changes across several key game modes. From major Siege upgrades to important Chimera rebalancing, plus new quality-of-life improvements, this patch brings both opportunities and challenges for players at every level.
Siege Upgrades: More Strategy, More Rewards
The most substantial updates focus on Siege mode. Clan fortresses can now be expanded further, with all upgradable buildings reaching level 6. This expansion unlocks additional garrison slots, allowing up to 69 defensive teams to be deployed.
Higher building levels also increase the number of Mana Orbs earned for both attacking and defending. Successfully protecting or conquering Mana Shrines at level 4 or higher now provides greater rewards.
Introducing Traps to Siege
A brand-new mechanic, Traps, adds further depth to Siege battles. These can be installed using Florence and Mana Orbs and come with diverse effects:
- Concealed Champion: Hides a defense team champion until battle starts.
- Battle Shackles: Reduces enemy buff durations by two turns on their first attack.
- Armor Breaker: Decreases each enemy’s defense by 30% before their first turn.
Traps can only be placed in fully repaired Magic and Defense Towers. Their effects trigger for the first attacker engaging that defense, which introduces tactical considerations for clans when assigning battles.

New Siege Tiers
Two additional Siege tiers are being introduced. Upon earning enough Siege points, clans automatically enter Tier 7. To reach Tier 8, a clan must win its next Siege using at least 30 attack scrolls. While losing will result in a demotion, Siege points accumulate, providing a pathway to regain lost ground.
Rewards for climbing the tiers include Mythical Gear, extra clan points, exclusive avatar frames, and valuable crafting materials for relics.

Chimera Boss Rebalance
Update 10.55 also brings key balance adjustments to the Chimera fight:
- The Ram Form receives a nerf. It now reflects less damage under Fear debuffs and none under True Fear. Its turn meter increase from failed skills is reduced from 50% to 25%. However, its accuracy has been boosted, making resisting debuffs harder.
- The Lion Form sees significant buffs. Its base attack increases, its AOE attack from “Shred Reality” is now guaranteed, and the second hit of “Atomizing Roar” ignores defense entirely. This makes the Lion form considerably more dangerous.
Additionally, several Chimera Trials have been tweaked to improve playability.

Quality of Life Improvements
Alongside gameplay changes, several quality-of-life features aim to streamline player experience:
- Vault Champions as Food: Champions in the Vault can now be used for instant rank-ups.
- Faction Guardian Commissioning: Players can permanently sacrifice champions from Faction Guardians to lock in bonuses, freeing up roster space. Caution is advised, particularly with legendaries, to avoid irreversible mistakes.
- Advanced Quest Refresh: One refresh per day is now available for select advanced quests.
- Simplified Clan Quest: The requirement to survive 150 turns against the Hydra has been reduced to 100.
- Improved Clan Boss Info: Battle info now clearly shows if damage dealt qualifies for chest rewards.

New Champions Incoming
Update 10.55 also introduces several new champions to bolster rosters. Notable additions include an Avian Banner Lord from Androck the Glorious’s Knights of the Wild and other powerful allies. These champions offer exciting options for both PvE and PvP teams.

Final Thoughts
Update 10.55 delivers impactful content for Raid: Shadow Legends. While Siege enthusiasts gain more tools for strategic play, Chimera rebalancing shakes up one of the game’s toughest challenges. Meanwhile, quality-of-life improvements and new champions ensure that players across all modes benefit from the changes.
