Jingwon Overview

Jingwon is a utility-focused Shadowkin legendary who brings AoE Block Active Skills and Block Buffs, buff stripping, debuff extension, and situational cleansing, making him a more versatile option for Hydra, Doom Tower waves, and debuff-heavy PvE after his buff.

Wielding his majestic axe infused with the sacred power of the Shadowkin, Jingwon shows no mercy to anyone standing in his path. With his recent buff, Jingwon now offers stronger utility for players across a variety of challenging areas.

Jingwon can now use his Compound Calamity [A2] to attack all enemies twice, followed by placing Block Active Skills and Block Buffs on them. This makes him viable for tackling encounters like Hydra and controlling enemies in Doom Tower waves. Additionally, this skill can Increase the Duration of Debuffs on enemies, making it highly effective against the Hard Mode Dragon and Hydra by extending effects placed by your allies or transferred by himself.

His Power Flare [A3] now grants the entire team with Strengthen to mitigate incoming damage, Removes all Buffs from enemies, and places Decrease Accuracy and Crit Damage Debuffs. This is perfect for countering the Head of Mischief’s buff stealing and spreading, as well as lowering the resistance threshold on champions when facing Debuffers universally.

The Doom Exchange [A1] allows him to Transfer all Debuffs from himself to a target, making it particularly useful against the Dragon. This not only cleanses himself but also sends all those Poisons back to the Boss! His passive counters control effects on allies by cleansing them and then placing Block Debuffs on those who had Debuffs removed. While this may sound powerful, its 4-turn cooldown limits its use to once in most PvP scenarios.

However, if you need a champion for an immediate cleanse, he can fulfil this role. Just be aware that the Block Debuffs buff only lasts for 1 turn. Overall, Jingwon has finally received the buff he deserves, making him more viable in a variety of content.

Understanding Arena Roles

Champions normally form specific roles within an arena team. Our ratings define the roles that the champion fits and rates them on their ability to perform the roles. Below you can see a breakdown of all of our roles.

Cleanser

Champions with the Cleanser role will use their skills to remove debuffs and keep them from being re-applied.

Crowd Control

Champions with the Crowd Control role will use their skills to place soft (i.e. Provoke or Taunt) and hard (i.e Freeze or Stun) debuffs to disable enemy champions.

Damage

Champions with the Damage role will have skills that deal significant damage and are designed to defeat enemy champions.

Damage Absorption

Champions with the Damage Absorption role will have skills or effects that reduce the incoming damage your team takes. This can be through passive damage reduction or by applying skills such as Strengthen or Shields.

Healer

Champions with the Healer role will have skills that restore your champion's Health including Continuous Heals.

Debuffer

Champions with the Debuffer role will have skills that place debuffs that don't fall into Crowd Control or Skill Manipulator roles i.e. Decrease Defence. These champions may also have skills that remove Buffs.

Revive

Champions with the Revive role will have skills that bring your ally champions back from the dead including Revive on Death buffs.

Skill Manipulator

Champions with the Skill Manipulator role will have skills that increase enemy skill cooldowns or reduce your ally skill cooldowns.

Speed Manipulator

Champions with the Speed Manipulator role will have skills that affect the turn meter of your allies or enemies. This includes speed buffs and debuffs aswell as direct turn meter effects.
