Khafru The Deathkeeper Overview

Nekhret The Great has called upon his minions, so rising from shadow realm are the Deathkeepers. The leader of this horde is Khafru, a Nobel guardian of of Nekhret, and together they protect the Underworld! Khafru The Deathkeeper is an Epic Defence champion from the Undead Hordes Faction.

Khafru has a great set of abilities to tackle some of Raid’s toughest encounters, and stands as the latest Epic champion that places Taunt Buffs. Khafru’s Command [A2] is a strong cleanse ability to counter the True Fear’s from the Head Of Torment as they’re non-resistible, therefore this will perfect for Taunt teams to alleviate the chance of ruining your turn cycle. Outside of Hydra utility, you can use this universally for not only the cleanse, but to heal your champions by 10% in areas such as Faction Wars. Leading in to his unique passive, Khafru can decrease the damage your allies receive by 10%, and he will receive this damage instead. It’s always important champions that deflect damage to themselves have a form of self protection, which is where his unkillable Buff can keep him from dying from fatal hits.

Although Taunt plays a niche role in Raid, it can be extremely powerful for areas such as Hydra, The Phantom Shogun’s Grove & Amius The Lunar Archon. A popular strategy for Hydra is the permanent Taunt team, which in the right synergy can stop your marked champions from ever being consumed. The cycle for this strategy is created around champion’s that can Reset your Taunt champion to keep it active, which although options such as Emic are most powerful for this, you may want to consider him as a Double Taunt solution. In area’s such as Shogun, you can direct the bosses single target abilities to himself, therefore being Unkillable makes him a strong candidate for this role.

Understanding Arena Roles

Champions normally form specific roles within an arena team. Our ratings define the roles that the champion fits and rates them on their ability to perform the roles. Below you can see a breakdown of all of our roles.

Cleanser

Champions with the Cleanser role will use their skills to remove debuffs and keep them from being re-applied.

Crowd Control

Champions with the Crowd Control role will use their skills to place soft (i.e. Provoke or Taunt) and hard (i.e Freeze or Stun) debuffs to disable enemy champions.

Damage

Champions with the Damage role will have skills that deal significant damage and are designed to defeat enemy champions.

Damage Absorption

Champions with the Damage Absorption role will have skills or effects that reduce the incoming damage your team takes. This can be through passive damage reduction or by applying skills such as Strengthen or Shields.

Healer

Champions with the Healer role will have skills that restore your champion's Health including Continuous Heals.

Debuffer

Champions with the Debuffer role will have skills that place debuffs that don't fall into Crowd Control or Skill Manipulator roles i.e. Decrease Defence. These champions may also have skills that remove Buffs.

Revive

Champions with the Revive role will have skills that bring your ally champions back from the dead including Revive on Death buffs.

Skill Manipulator

Champions with the Skill Manipulator role will have skills that increase enemy skill cooldowns or reduce your ally skill cooldowns.

Speed Manipulator

Champions with the Speed Manipulator role will have skills that affect the turn meter of your allies or enemies. This includes speed buffs and debuffs aswell as direct turn meter effects.
