Onryo Ieyasu Overview

Onryo Leyasu is a high-burst Shadowkin damage dealer built to delete priority targets, using defence-ignoring nukes, HP destruction, and Block Revive to punish buff-heavy enemies in Arena while remaining effective against bosses like Hydra.

Emerging from the depths of the Shadow realm, Onryo Leyasu is a Shinobi who strikes from the shadows, delivering swift vengeance on those who dare harm his allies. Armed with a majestic sword, a sacred weapon bestowed upon him by the mythical rulers of the Shadowkin empire, Onryo’s mission is to protect the Kingdom of Yakai from all threats. This Void Legendary champion is sure to make a significant impact on any player’s account looking for a powerful damage dealer!

This champion’s skill set focuses entirely on dealing massive damage, with a passive that deals additional damage to enemies, except the initial target. His Final Vengeance [A3] is especially effective in PvP, hitting twice while ignoring 50% of the target’s defence, along with Stone Skin, Shield, and Strengthen buffs. This ability is also useful for boss encounters like Hydra, where it can free allies from digestion or inflict significant damage on decapitated heads. Onryo’s A2 can destroy up to 50% of a target’s MAX HP, though this effect doesn’t apply to bosses, and its damage increases by 10% for every buff and debuff on the target, up to 100%. It also blocks revives if the target is killed, making him a great choice for buff-heavy Arena teams and encounters where many debuffs are placed. Additionally, the combination of HP destruction and Block Revive makes it perfect for dealing with Nukers and high HP support champions.

Champions with strong A1 abilities are valuable for Hydra, particularly in Ally Attack strategies. Paired with champions like Lady Mikage, this combination can be insane, especially if he’s your only Shadowkin champion. In Arena, this skills true potential shines against Undead Hordes champions like Rotos and Siphi, where he can attack up to four times if the enemy is buffed and gains an extra turn if this attack kills his target. Finally, his unique passive deals 25% of his initial damage to an enemy, ignoring 100% of defence, although this damage cannot be critical.

Understanding Arena Roles

Champions normally form specific roles within an arena team. Our ratings define the roles that the champion fits and rates them on their ability to perform the roles. Below you can see a breakdown of all of our roles.

Cleanser

Champions with the Cleanser role will use their skills to remove debuffs and keep them from being re-applied.

Crowd Control

Champions with the Crowd Control role will use their skills to place soft (i.e. Provoke or Taunt) and hard (i.e Freeze or Stun) debuffs to disable enemy champions.

Damage

Champions with the Damage role will have skills that deal significant damage and are designed to defeat enemy champions.

Damage Absorption

Champions with the Damage Absorption role will have skills or effects that reduce the incoming damage your team takes. This can be through passive damage reduction or by applying skills such as Strengthen or Shields.

Healer

Champions with the Healer role will have skills that restore your champion's Health including Continuous Heals.

Debuffer

Champions with the Debuffer role will have skills that place debuffs that don't fall into Crowd Control or Skill Manipulator roles i.e. Decrease Defence. These champions may also have skills that remove Buffs.

Revive

Champions with the Revive role will have skills that bring your ally champions back from the dead including Revive on Death buffs.

Skill Manipulator

Champions with the Skill Manipulator role will have skills that increase enemy skill cooldowns or reduce your ally skill cooldowns.

Speed Manipulator

Champions with the Speed Manipulator role will have skills that affect the turn meter of your allies or enemies. This includes speed buffs and debuffs aswell as direct turn meter effects.
