Packmaster Shy’ek Overview

In the wilderness of Teleria, Packmaster Shy’ek commands the respect and fear of all who cross his path. As a Legendary HP Champion from the Orcs Faction, Shy’ek wields the unique ability to harness the strength of his pack to amplify his own power.

Packmaster Shy’ek is a versatile champion known for his self-sustain, Turn Meter fills and powerful Debuffs. The Pack Alpha [A2] will cleanse all Debuffs from himself, heals him by 50%, then Shields him for further protection. Additionally, he can Taunt enemies and Reflect Damage back at them, with these buffs becoming Protected when a pack member is by his side. This makes him an outstanding Enfeeble Tank for the Phantom Shogun, a strong counter to single-target Nukers in the arena, and can prevent digestion in Hydra battles.

Leading into the Blood Howl [A3], he will boost your allies Turn Meters and places a Block Buffs on enemies for 2 turns, which eliminates the chance to Weak hit. When attacked, he retaliates by placing a Hex Debuff on his foes, enabling allies to deal 20% more damage to hexed enemies. This powerful synergy will increase your team’s overall damage in content such as The Hydra, much like the impact of Firrol the Barkhorn. While using a full team of his pack might not always be ideal, including at least one pack member can eliminate the need for accuracy to place his Block Buffs & prevents your buffs from being stolen by enemies such as Mischief. Lastly, Packmaster Shy’ek can place a Decrease Defence Debuff on single targets, and teams up with allies from his pack using their default skills.

Understanding Arena Roles

Champions normally form specific roles within an arena team. Our ratings define the roles that the champion fits and rates them on their ability to perform the roles. Below you can see a breakdown of all of our roles.

Cleanser

Champions with the Cleanser role will use their skills to remove debuffs and keep them from being re-applied.

Crowd Control

Champions with the Crowd Control role will use their skills to place soft (i.e. Provoke or Taunt) and hard (i.e Freeze or Stun) debuffs to disable enemy champions.

Damage

Champions with the Damage role will have skills that deal significant damage and are designed to defeat enemy champions.

Damage Absorption

Champions with the Damage Absorption role will have skills or effects that reduce the incoming damage your team takes. This can be through passive damage reduction or by applying skills such as Strengthen or Shields.

Healer

Champions with the Healer role will have skills that restore your champion's Health including Continuous Heals.

Debuffer

Champions with the Debuffer role will have skills that place debuffs that don't fall into Crowd Control or Skill Manipulator roles i.e. Decrease Defence. These champions may also have skills that remove Buffs.

Revive

Champions with the Revive role will have skills that bring your ally champions back from the dead including Revive on Death buffs.

Skill Manipulator

Champions with the Skill Manipulator role will have skills that increase enemy skill cooldowns or reduce your ally skill cooldowns.

Speed Manipulator

Champions with the Speed Manipulator role will have skills that affect the turn meter of your allies or enemies. This includes speed buffs and debuffs aswell as direct turn meter effects.
