REBALANCE PREVIEW – Roxam & Soulless
Plarium’s upcoming Rebalance brings meaningful updates to two Legendary Champions who have long struggled to find consistent homes in endgame content: Soulless and Roxam. Rather than small numerical tweaks, both Champions receive identity-defining changes aimed at reinforcing their intended roles while opening up new synergies and use cases across PvE and PvP.
Let’s take a closer look at what’s changing and why these updates matter.
Soulless – A True Provoke Enforcer

Soulless has always been designed around Provoke, but until now, that identity never fully translated into impactful gameplay. This rebalance leans hard into that fantasy, transforming him into a dangerous control-oriented damage dealer who actively rewards Provoke-based team compositions.
His A1, Bewildering Blow, remains a single-target attack with a Stun chance, but now gains added teeth. When attacking enemies already under Provoke, the skill ignores a portion of the target’s DEF, significantly improving his damage output and making him far more threatening in sustained fights.
The biggest overhaul comes to Wave of Despair. Instead of hitting three random enemies, Soulless now attacks all enemies, stripping buffs across the board. On top of that, the skill now applies Decrease ATK and Hex, massively increasing its value in Hydra, Doom Tower, and wave-based content. This change alone turns Wave of Despair into a premier debuff setup tool rather than a niche utility skill.
His signature ability, Reign of Terror, also receives a crucial upgrade. While the core functionality remains intact—extending debuffs and applying Provoke—the skill now places a Shield buff on all allies instead of just Soulless himself. He also gains Counterattack for added pressure, reinforcing his hybrid role as both controller and bruiser. At full investment, Reign of Terror now scales damage per debuff more efficiently, further rewarding well-structured debuff teams.
The entirely new Foul Provocation [Passive] ties everything together. Soulless now boosts ally damage against enemies Provoked by him, while also gaining RES-ignoring mechanics based on DEF comparisons. Importantly, this passive is restricted to a single Soulless per team, preventing stacking abuse while still offering powerful team-wide value.
Finally, his Aura has been modernised, shifting from a niche Faction Crypt bonus to a global DEF Aura, making him instantly more flexible across all content.
Overall, Soulless emerges from this rebalance as a legitimate Provoke centerpiece—capable of enabling allies, controlling enemy turns, and contributing real damage rather than just standing in the way.
Roxam – Veil-Focused Damage Refined

Roxam has long hovered in an awkward space: a Champion with interesting mechanics but not enough payoff to justify investment. This rebalance sharpens his identity around Veil and Perfect Veil synergy, while significantly improving his damage consistency and utility.
His A1, Chroma Shift, becomes far more reliable. Instead of relying on chance, Roxam now always gains Turn Meter, with increased gains when attacking under Veil effects. Critical hits guarantee Perfect Veil, making his turn cycling smoother and easier to control. A direct damage multiplier increase further ensures this skill contributes meaningful pressure.
Jungle Ambush also sees major improvements. While it retains its dual-function identity—Stun under Veil, Sleep without it—the skill now ignores key defensive buffs like Shield, Strengthen, and Unkillable. This dramatically increases Roxam’s threat level in Arena and high-end PvE encounters. Additional damage scaling pushes this ability firmly into nuker territory rather than control filler.
His Flicker Step ability becomes much more cohesive. When under Veil, Roxam now attacks all enemies, applies debuffs, and reduces Jungle Ambush’s cooldown, allowing for faster rotations. Outside of Veil, the skill sets itself up by applying Perfect Veil after the attack, ensuring Roxam can maintain his preferred combat state. Once again, improved damage multipliers make this skill feel impactful rather than transitional.
The largest philosophical change appears in Chameleon [Passive]. Roxam now gains protection via Perfect Veil when enemies receive buffs, along with offensive scaling based on Max HP comparisons. Against tankier targets, he ignores increasing amounts of DEF, allowing him to punch up into high-HP enemies far more effectively than before.
To cap things off, Roxam’s Aura is upgraded from a Doom Tower-specific bonus to a global Crit Rate Aura, and his base Speed receives a welcome increase, making him easier to build and slot into teams without heavy Speed investment.
These changes finally align Roxam’s mechanics with his intended role: a fast, evasive damage dealer who thrives on Veil interactions and punishes buff-heavy opponents.
