But reaching that nine-piece threshold isn't easy. The Feral set is exclusive to Siege battles, and while gear pieces are accessible through consistent participation, the accessories — which are necessary to complete the full set bonus — only drop from victory chests. These are not only limited in quantity, but also random in faction and stat allocation, making them incredibly difficult to acquire and optimize.

So, what makes it worth the grind?

Feral is fundamentally an accuracy and speed-focused set, providing a total of 120 Accuracy and 15% Speed when all nine pieces are equipped. But the real value is in its passive effects. With six or more pieces, Feral grants a two-turn Block Debuffs buff at the start of battle and includes a 50% chance to prevent polymorph effects — though this chance-based defense is unreliable compared to sets like Pinpoint that offer guaranteed intercept mechanics.

The game-changer lies in the nine-piece bonus: all allies deal 5% more damage per debuff placed by the Feral wearer on each enemy. This effect scales per enemy, not across all enemies collectively. So if you apply six debuffs to three targets, each target receives 30% bonus damage individually — not a stacked total across the board.

This makes the Feral set ideal for champions who apply high volumes of single-target debuffs, especially in PvE scenarios where precise damage scaling matters.

Riho is arguably the best champion to maximize the Feral set's potential. She applies an exceptionally high density of debuffs in a single strike, far surpassing most champions who need multiple turns or multiple abilities to apply similar effects.

Depending on mastery choices (like Harvest Despair) and her Awakening status (granting access to debuffs like Brimstone), Riho can apply up to seven debuffs to a single target in one move — instantly unlocking a potential 35% bonus damage from the Feral set.

This synergy between Riho's kit and the Feral bonuses creates a damage amplification loop when paired with hard-hitting allies. Each debuff enhances the damage of your team, and because it's calculated on a per-target basis, it scales exceptionally well in wave-based content or dungeon boss fights.

RAID's current meta revolves around stacking multipliers — using various independent sources of bonus damage that compound each other for exponential scaling. The Feral set is one such multiplier. But when combined with other systems, the effect becomes even more powerful.

For example, pairing Feral with the Protection set — which increases damage based on the number of buffs on the attacker — creates a potent synergy. If your damage dealer receives six buffs from an ally like Fyna (a strong Protection-set support), that's a 30% bonus from buffs. Add in the 35% from Feral and the usual 25% from weaken debuffs, and you're multiplying your damage by close to 100% before even factoring in gear stats like Ignore Defense or Critical Damage.

One example of this stacking meta in action involves Whisper, a single-target nuker. In a well-optimized build using Merciless and Cat's Gaze, and supported by Riho (Feral), Fyna (Protection), and additional buffing supports, Whisper's base damage nearly doubles. A typical 780,000 hit can turn into a staggering 1.5 million+ with proper stacking.

While Riho is the poster child for Feral's success, champions like Karnage are proving to be just as promising. In his alternate form, Karnage deals true damage and counterattacks frequently, which synergizes well with Nature's Wrath or Irethi Coronet — both of which stack additional multipliers.

Even more interesting is the effect of certain gemstone combinations. For instance, a gemstone that increases damage by 10–15% when counterattacking can be socketed twice on Cat's Gaze, allowing Karnage's A1 counterattack to potentially double its damage. Given how much his performance relies on debuffs and consistent procs, the synergy with Feral becomes highly attractive.

With enough investment — particularly a five-star soul, which is uniquely impactful for Karnage — it's possible to bring his damage output in line with champions like Toshiro or a fully-optimized Ninja. Though complex to set up, the results speak for themselves.

Despite its power, Feral has limitations. The set does not amplify damage from Enemy Max HP champions, which includes many of the current PvE meta leaders like Marius and Ninja in Clan Boss or Chimera. These champions only benefit from bonuses that increase critical damage, ignore defense, or provide direct stat increases.

Feral also becomes truly effective only at the nine-piece threshold. Prior to that, the benefits are marginal compared to more accessible sets like Perception or Speed. And because the accessories required to complete the set are hard to obtain and random, building a viable nine-piece set takes patience, long-term Siege success, and often some luck.

Feral is one of the most powerful gear sets in RAID: Shadow Legends when equipped on the right champion and combined with the right build. Champions like Riho Bonespear, with high single-target debuff output, unlock its true potential — especially when paired with damage dealers like Whisper and supportive buffs from Protection-set champions.

In PvE content, especially in boss fights or wave-clearing scenarios, this set provides explosive damage potential through clean synergy and stacking bonuses. While it's not useful for every champion or scenario — and certainly not easy to obtain — the payoff is worth it for those willing to invest the time and effort into Siege success.
